Girls kill their dad for £900

Two teenage sisters were jailed yesterday for the brutal knife murder of their father.
Ashleigh and Holly Robinson were branded “Judas-like” by the judge who sentenced them.
The evil pair “supported and encouraged” their boyfriends in a savage attack on retired antiques dealer Antoni Robinson, 61.
They believed his safe was crammed with jewellery but fled with just £900 after the frenzied late-night killing last July.
Ashleigh, 19, and Holly, 16, were convicted alongside Gordon Harding, 20, and Sacha Roberts, 19, following a month-long trial.
After sneaking into Mr Robinson’s home in Old Colwyn, North Wales, Harding stabbed him 15 times as he lay asleep in his bed.

The knife was handed to him by Roberts as the girls stood and watched, a jury at Mold crown court heard. Ashleigh and Harding, of Old Colwyn, were ordered to serve at least 22 years. Neither showed any emotion as they were taken to the cells.
Holly, who lived with Roberts in Colwyn Bay, sobbed as she was sent down for at least 18 years. Roberts nodded after getting 20 years.
The girls’ mother, Joanne Barr, was jailed for four years for conspiracy to pervert justice.
Mr Justice Griffith Williams said of Mr Robinson: “It is to be hoped that in his dying moments he was at least spared the awful realisation that it was his own two daughters who were party to his murder.
“Two daughters who, Judas-like, wormed their way back into his affections.”

n tbh unpopular opinion but they didnt kill him by their own hands, they couldve been blackmailed in to it. the punishment seems sorta harsh but they didnt argue bk meh

Its not like it takes a lot to get someone pregnant mate, the respect comes from what they do as a father, not as a biological dad.


I really do question how either messed up these girls and their boyfriends were, or how bad of a dad he is. Because somethin definitely isnt right here, especially if the mother covered for them. RIP to him anyway.

I read about this on msn, the mother lied to the police saying that the boyfriend stabbed the dad in self defence as he was trying to kill the girl.

Yeh the 2 daughters and their boyfriends (?) got sent down for murder whilst the mother did get sent down for perverting the course of justice.

If I have read the names and have the right end of the stick then all I have to say really is that this is a disgusting sentence for sickening murder, not 'lengthy' at all - the death penalty would be much more fitting with life (as in life) as the very least.

Abortion is different. Some class it as murder, some don't. This topic is about what we will all class as murder.

A lot of prison cells are awful, hence why a lot of prisoners who get sentenced to life in jail try and commit suicide as they go crazy in there - either from the guilt, or from the idea of not getting out ... ever.

I haven't read into the Ian Huntley story, but if he has been allowed any kind of pleasure inside the prison, they should be ashamed.

And lastly, most of those who back to prison go back in for short term. They see the gain from their crime as being greater than the risk. They know they risk going back in for a short while so its worth it for them. Unless you are saying they should face the death penalty too then for commiting small crimes including fraud. In which case lets give the death penalty to all shop lifters too, including most kids to stop people doing it again :rolleyes:. I am on about those who get a long-term sentence.

I loo at it this way: Who are we to kill others? Society is punishing the person for taking someones life. We have no right to kill them back.

Dan argues we need the dealth penalty. I simply linked to the innocence project, which is based in America. They fight to get innocent people out of jail. If their states had the death penalty, they would have been executed for doing nothing wrong.

Ofcourse in these cases we are certain that they are guilty, but a lot of innocent people do get locked up, and executing them would be ridiculous.
