If you're from the UK and purchase Habbo Credits, then click below!
Hey Habbos! It's a new year and it's already going by so fast. Close on the horizon is things like Valentines Day, spring time, summer vacation and unfortunately...tax increases! We know it bugs you guys, and we'll be honest, it bugs us too. But no need to panic...it's not nearly as bad as you might think.
In case you didn't know, the VAT has increased in the UK from the beginning of January. "Well what the heck is that!?", you might ask. In summary, it means more money is now payable to the tax man...bahhh!
So, this will effect your Habbo Credits, but only slightly. We've done everything we could to give you a bit of a VAT freeze period, but it's come to that time now and this change needs to take place. Surprisingly enough, it seems to be conveniently in tune with the recent weather in the UK...and our VAT freeze has now thawed!
We wanted to give everyone this heads up about what's going to happen next week. To look at these new changes, and see how it will effect your chosen method of payment, please check out the FAQ link below.
CLICK HERE to visit the FAQ page (https://help.habbo.com/entries/438537-changes-in-uk-credits-pricing)

We appreciate your understanding regarding the above changes and please make sure as always you ask the bill payer before you purchase Habbo Credits.

My account was made on the .COM habbo almost three years ago, does that mean this will be the same for me?

I knew it would be a matter of time before this happened, I guess it isn't like their fault though.

I don't blame them nor do I mind, but if you are registered as a US habbo will it still affect you? I think it will because of the numbers, but I'm not sure.

They aren't more expensive. Read the FAQ page, they have just reduced the amount of credits.

oh sorry, i did know that :P i just worded it weirdly, cus they are more expensive now since you would have to pay the same to get even less now.

You're still paying the same cost as before but you get 1-10 less credits, depending on how many you buy. So it does make the credits themselves slightly more expensive, I know what you mean :P.

It should rise like 5 or 6p, habbo is using it as an excuse to rip us off.

What the hell, its virtual currency and will be spent which way. Stupid habbo.

what the hell exactly, i see no point in taking '1 cred off' some of the credit options. This is going to make New Habbos not be able to buy vip because they are 1c short :l Habbo doesnt think, does it?

It will affect everyone - I can't believe they're doing this ;l

i wish it was 3 pound for 35c... the good old days :(

Inseriousity.

Ever since they added 1c onto the price of credits, they've messed it all up although tbf it's not really their fault VAT is increasing.

Luckily, I could always enter Habbox competitions (http://www.habbox.com/comps) to win credits instead... oh wait I can't :(

the only bad thing about it is you can't buy VIP with one text purchase now... and that is a pretty big downside seeing as you're gonna have to spend £4.50 to buy VIP :S

the number of people buying VIP from the UK will probably go down and theyll hopefully notice lol

It might have been done on purpose by habbo. So now if people want to buy vip they must buy twice.

I was thinking this. One of their greedy schemes. Anyway, they ripped us off before yet they are trying to rip us off again. Habbo has gotten worse since the merge. Welldone Sulake on spoiling Habbo. Only a one cred difference you say but that one credit short could make a difference. Anyway, if you purchase hc for 10 creds then it will cost you 20c as it will be just 10c to upgrade.
