Just an idea...

Could we have something like that?

Looks like a good idea tbh.

I think this would be useful, at least you would know if someone how quoted you without checking in the thread!

This was suggested some time ago and we all like the idea, something was found that could be used in a system how we want it however then our technician did a runner therefore at the moment we are not looking into installing such add-ons. However, when we appoint a new techie this will be something discussed.

Do you not think finding someone that can solve problems with the forum and make it progress is a priority? :S

It doesn't bother me, I'm good at remembering what threads I posted in so I wouldn't really use this feature. Once it can be hidden, I'm all for it.

This was asked for before. It's something i really would like as i don't check back in every single thread i've posted in most of the time.

This was suggested before and I quite like the idea tbh but as Oli said, we have no one to do this at the moment.

How do you know they aren't? :P

At no point have we ever said there isn't someone at Habbox who can solve problems with the forum - there is, and always will be. What has been said is that there is nobody at Habbox who can spend time optimizing this forum with add-ons, because quite simply HabboxForum is not Habbox's priority at the moment. Forum Technician is a job that only someone trusted at Habbox would be given, it's not something we are going to give out willy nilly. Habbox has many priorities higher than this forum at the moment (which is quite fair after the attention this forum recieved last year) so things like this can wait.

SAY WOT :O
I read this then read on and knew it was too good to be true lol. How I see it is, habbox.com should always be habbox's main priority seeing as it is the "face" of habbox. Anyways that's for a completely different topic. I think next time Jin should take a different approach to who runs the website, it would be good to see someone like content manager or news manager getting gm, to see how they manage things and what departments they consider "more important".

Basically, we don't want to waste time getting someone to install mods and do things for the forum while we can actually spend that time to ensure the next version of Habbox is being worked on and is released. Although, anything like this wouldn't be a problem soon you just need to have some patience. :P

I have plenty of patience, I've been waiting, what? A year for the new release. Maybe longer.
I understand you guys do your best for habbox and yes you don't get paid but its a shame its taken a year.

This makes no sense. You hire a Forum Technician and they get on with it, they are completely seperate from the Habbox.com website, what time is wasted? None.
IMO Habbox is a perfect example of how not to structure staff in a Business (yes, I know you're not a business).

Feel free to read Jins replies in other threads about that.

It will all make sense sooner or later, trust me. Plus, we can't just hire anybody within a matter of minutes there is a matter of trust here when you are a technician for the forum.

sounds pointless to me, y'all should stop being so lazy and check for yourselves if someone has quoted you.

Loved the hints in that post.
I really think this would be a good idea for someone who posts regularly around the forum and likes to comment back to what people have said.

Richie, you need to read recent threads about the confusion of when v6 was actually coming - I know you've been away from Habbox so you wouldn't understand but Habbox v6 has not been on the cards for longer than 5 months properly.
Tom, we aren't going to give admin out to someone 'cause we fancy it - we have to give it to the right person at the right time, and that time is not now.
In all honesty, I don't see how someone would give up so much time and effort as forum techie for free. Who ever chooses to become techie when the time 'is right', hats off to you.
I think someone said a forum technician would be coming very soon or something. I think is was Hecktix.

Just set it so you automatically get an email notification when someone replies to a thread and check the reply in the email - easy :P
S'pose if you don't keep your emails open then this would be better though.

This would be a useful feature, as I quote a lot of people - and even though I have an automatic CP subscription to every thread, I never read all of them again. A quick thing which brought you exactly to the person who quoted you would be a neat little feature :)
