Well I haven't watched WWE in a long time (years infact), but my favourite was always The Rock followed by the likes of Hulk Hogan, Stone Cold, Goldberg, Eddie Gurrero, Undertaker, Mankind and then there's the likes of RVD, Rey Mysterio, Edge, Brock Lesner and so on.

1. Kurt Angle - Has proved himself to be one of the best all round professional athletes the wrestling world has ever seen.
2. Triple H - For his dedication to the wrestling business and constant high caliber of matches.
3. Shawn Michaels - For his longitivtiy in the business and all round outstanding matches through out his career.

There are many more but for people who have dedicated their lives to the wrestling business and are all round amazing wrestlers, who can talk the talk, and walk the walk. These three have to be right up there.

I personally think the TNA X division has had some the best professional athletes, just because of there pure wrestling skills. Obviously Japanese wrestlers like KENTA get their recognition here as well. Petey Williams as well for his shear wrestling perfection.

Most of the X Division are spot monkeys who can't work a real match.

I'd like to see half the WWE wrestlers perform to that standard of wrestling though. WWE is just plain talk, simple boring wrestling. TNA imo, eats in hands down, in every way. I pretty much lost complete interested after Wrestlemania 24 and made the switch to TNA :)

TNA died in '06. They are the absolute worst company on the face of the planet right now. Their product is embarrassing to watch. They have good wrestlers, yes, but most of the X Division do NOT know how to wrestle, they just fly around the ring. They can't tell stories. And now they're buried under the has-beens.

I must admit it has been declining in quality for quite a while. With old talent stealing the top spots for too long, did they learn nothing from WCW. :(

Misawa
16-02-2011, 01:07 PM
They essentially are the mirror image of WCW in its dying days. I used to like TNA - a lot - but not since four years ago. I'd never been embarrassed to watch a Ric Flair match in all my life until he joined TNA.

From what i have seen and hear of TNA they have talented wrestlers (Samoa Joe, AJ styles, Mr Anderson (kenedy) ) and the likes but they're creative team are utter ball.

TNA is an embarrassment now. Some of these old timers that have gone to TNA as their careers slowly die out really do make me laugh.

Hulk hogan and ric flair are almost embarassments, they should of quit whilst their careers were legendary.

I still see Sting, Kurt angle, Anderson, Hardy and Van Dam as damn good wrestlers and wish they were back in the wwe

Misawa

I couldn't care less about the rest, but I really wish Angle would finish his career in WWE.

Not even Van Dam?

In my opinion Van damn is up there with the greats.

I hardly watch it now, only huge events like WM but I used to really love it. My favourites were Rey Mysterio, Triple H and Shawn Michaels. :)

I think Angles contract with TNA runs out in the Summer and there have been talks of him finishing his career at WWE like Booker and Nash. He is no doubt one of the top professional wrestlers out there.

It depends what you mean

In ring ability?
Benoit (yes I'm quite aware what happened, but can you really deny the man had outstanding in-ring performances?)
Angle
Daniel Bryan (He is the new Benoit in my opinion, fantastic athlete)

If you're talking about all time favorites (promo skills, star power) it's pretty obvious

The Rock
Stone Cold
Y2J (Not this Jericho, the old one)
HBK (While his technical skills weren't completely jaw dropping I can't deny some of his matches were spectacular)
Undertaker (In his Biker gimmick)
The Big Show (Underrated as hell, I love the big guy for the pure dedication he's shown to the WWE)

Misawa

I HATED 'Takers biker gimmick. Was too mcuh of a departure from how he was originally, which he returned to at 'Mania 20 and thankfully will end his career as, even if it's a little different.

I have to agree with Misawa, i wasn't keen on takers biker gimmix, i much prefer the deadman gimmick.

Arron
20-02-2011, 12:14 AM
Was the biker gimmick the American Badass one or was that a completely different gimmick? I can't recall this one from memory, but I remember being a fan of this gimmick and his Badass attire.

Yup ^^ thats the one

Misawa

Yeah, his American Badass persona was the biker gimmick, which debuted at, if memory serves me correctly, Judgement Day 2000.

Yeah, he interrupted the Iron Man match between Rock and Triple H. Imagine this two competing in a match against eachother at WM!

This return was epic. It looked so good how he delivered the Chokeslam to X-Pac and Shane I think it was.

Just found the video:

This gives me chills hehe.

Most WWE superstars cant hold a match anymore, i mean Miz as champ? get real. TNA is going much stronger in terms of ability and talent atm, but yeah TNA's storylines are pretty poor, but theyre matches are second to none, and the x division WAS much better than the WWE, when they had the likes of Daniels and jerry lynn and so on.
but ye top WWE wrestlers;
1) Stone cold Steve Austin
2) The Rock
3)The Undertaker
4) Kurt Angle
5)Randy Orton [hes been with the company for a good while now and deserves alot of credit imo]
6)Shawn Michaels
7)The Dudleys [ Before they got mahoooooosive]
8)Mankind
9)Brock lesnar [He was a brilliant athlete..]
10)Mr Anderson/Kennedy

Matches like that just represent how good it was back then.

WWE changed its style to a slower pace to cut out the injuries. But I'd still take current WWE in-ring product over TNA's X Division. They don't know how to work wrestling matches. And no matter how much someone finds flying around the ring like an idiot pulling off moves that physically aren't even possible to do without the co-operation of the opponent entertaining, it isn't wrestling, and people seem to be losing sight of that.

You really need an equal balance of Wrestlers and high flyers. You would not have alot of awsome spots without the likes of Jeff Hardy, Rey mysterio and Evan Bourne.

I like Bikertaker simply because he REALLY signified the attitude era which for me is the best era.

After watching his return as biker taker it was pretty epic ;)

Would be intresting to see him return as biker taker tonight haha.

Nah, he'll end his career as the Deadman.

PG Era = over.

John cena's promo about the rock consisted about "blowing him, pollishing his balls and brokeback mountain" and Arse isn't censored. very funny segment

Wrong thread there Lost_Addict. But I'll forgive you.

Did the great one make an appearance?

22-02-2011, 02:40 AM
Lmao thx XD i'll post it in the right thread aswell.

No he didn't, which i believe is wise as they don't want to go overkill on the storyline when they have 6 weeks to tell it ;)

But i have never been a fan of John Cena, but this promo would turn alot of haters.

So am I ;)

I have a soft spot for the sting.

However the secondary rumours of Triple H returning for an Undertaker Vs. Triple H with shawn michaels as special ref also has me drooling haha XD

Wow sting looks diffrent *Sarcasm*

Take my sarcasm back, the game has returned aswell :D:D:D haha

On a serious not, both taker and HHH look in great shape

Arron

Glad Triple H is back! A lot of people have been talking that he might be turning heel, I don't see this happening to be honest as he got a good response from the crowd last night. Plus HBK wasn't heel when he squared off with Taker on both occasions.

My top wrestlers have to be Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Edge & Drew McIntyre. I'm also glad that Triple H is back and maybe, just maybe if he does have this match at wrestlemania can defeat undertakers streak and do good ol' Shawn Michaels proud.

I'm not into wrestling but I do watch the odd match. My favourites, I don't know why, probably from playing WWE as a kid, are The Rock, Eddie Guerrera (or however you spell it) and Rey Mysterio.
