It's a weird topic to discuss but sooner or later we all die. In the past I was scared of dying but it doesn't go through my mind as much anymore.

Are you scared of death? if so why?

I guess I still have a fear of death but I suppose my main concern is my family having to grieve, suffer and sort out all of the normal problems when someone dies. I'm not trying to be big headed by saying "everyone loves me and they'd be heartbroken if I died" its obviously what happens to most family's when they lose someone close to them like a family member.

I'm not going emo on your ass so don't go emo on mine.

I used to be scared of dying and think about it most nights but now I've come to terms and I'm no longer scared. Have a good few years hopefully ahead of me :)

I used to be scared of dying and I used to think about it and actually be really upset... but now I just think well we all die and there's nothing I can do about it and I have to live my life to the fullest, enjoy what it has to offer etcetc

I really just don't think about it myself. What's the point in bothering yourself about something you can't change no matter how hard you think about it? That's the way i look at it.

Im not scared of dying at all. I feel that life is what it is, enjoy it now, im not saying go skydiving everyday, but just enjoy it. No point fearing over something out of my control and that no one has any real knowledge on.

I'm not really scared of it because everyone will die eventually. Might as well make the most of it while you can.

Tbh you can say you aren't scared one bit but have you ever experienced lying in your deathbed knowing that youre gonna die soon? :P

People say they aren't scared because they're young and stuff but if tomorrow you got told that you had weeks to live then I think fear will hit most people like a brick wall

I'd say that I'm not scared of death until I'm close to dying

About 2 years ago, I went through a difficult time and I actually contemplated dying. Not committing suicide but just thinking about death and how I'd feel. At the time I was so worn out and depressed that thinking of not being alive wasn't a bad feeling. And I imagined everyone I'd known who had died being in heaven together, and what it would be like to meet them again. I just felt like things weren't going to get better and death was a way to escape the pain and just be happy. Thankfully I got through the difficult time and now I don't feel scared of dying. I'd be scared to die in a painful or slow way.

Could say the same back really, you've never been on your death bed so you don't know how you'll react. Could go either way. Some will accept death and know that its just a part of life. Others will obviously be scared. I think its just a different mindset, and from what i can say about myself i dont fear death at all.

oh my god this is gonna make me sound weird, but in a way I embrace the idea of dying just because I'm so ******* lazy. I see death as a very easy way out of I life/world that sometimes I don't want to live/be a part of.

But yeah, I'm sure if tomorrow I was told I was going to die in a week I wouldn't turn round and say "yippee", I'd just be like ****, I've got some stuff to cram in.

Once I learned to accept that the only certainty of life is death I was no longer afraid

I'm scared of dying.
but I wouldn't let it get in the way of my life now, everyone dies.
I'm always thinking, all of the things acomplished in life are just gone when you die. if you acomplished something good, then you die.

I used to a lot, but now I just think - if it happens it happens, what can I do?

I just hope I fulfill my dreams before dying. Or at least some of them.

Alternatively I could drink the elixir of life...but I haven't found it yet :hmm:

I'm scared of never-ending darkness, and I'm worried that no one will remember me 10 years into the future, my dream is to become a writer and if I don't succeed in my dream then I'll be forgotten.

I am in a way, but I think that when our time comes, it comes. When it comes to thinking about people grieving, I do think that it'd be horrible for them, but I would rather that people celebrated my life.

As long as you have fought for what you believe in, accomplished what you wanted to accomplish and have been a good person, then you should not fear death as death will not treat you badly.
We're all going to perish from the Earth one day, there is no point in being scared of death - in reality, you could die tomorrow.

Death isn't scary. I prefer to embrace life and the things that could kill me. If it happens, it happens. I don't believe anyone has a purpose on this world, you live and then you die - end of.

Yeah, I'm scared of death for quite a few reasons;
1) What my family be like when I'm gone?
2) Would I actually be missed?
3) What is it like to be dead?
4) Does anything come after death?

I get these random thoughts pop into my head every now and then like how did we actually get here, and what's the point in being here if we just die, then I start to feel weird and then most of the time I start crying because them thoughts scare me it's weird but yano lol

I think everyone has a fear of something that they do not know and thats the same with death. It is only natural for everyone to be afraid of it because it's so unpredictable and no one really knows about it. So partly yes I am scared but it is a part of life.

I'm scared of other people dying but not myself dying because i know there is an after life so i'm not that scared, I can say im scared of dying painfully, but not the fact i'm dying just the fact I will be in pain as pain is most peoples worst fear?

I used to be really scared of death years ago and I would often just think about it whilst laid in bed and get really upset. The main thing that upset me is that I saw it as my life is over and I will just be in the ground not thinking or doing anything forever. Tbh, no one knows what happens after you die.. unless you have died yourself.

I'm not scared of it anymore, I have come to terms with the fact then one day I will die but I can't waste time thinking about it, I have the rest of my life to live before I go anywhere.

Inseriousity.

I think I might have read it somewhere on this forum or perhaps it was in a real life conversation (DUN DUN DUN habbox manager with a real life, breaking news) but I use it all the time now:

100% of keep fit fanatics die.

I'm not scared of death as I know it's inevitable. I suppose the fear is more with how you die after you've got over that initial fear. I'm dreading it being something terrible where my death is slow and I'm aware it's happening (dunno how to put it lol?) rather than quick.

i was almost involved in what would have been a serious coach accident on a motorway in france last week. when the drivers and police had to check the coach for damage (there was a substantial amount, the coach i was on almost flipped over - we had come off the motorway onto a bank at about 90mph) and it made me think about how precious life was. im not scared of dying i just want to have accomplished things i set out to do beforehand.
