Not really sure of the use of it these days, I like it's chat logs and larger text areas but that's it really. I guess it just shows that WLM has incorporated so many of it's features :)

I guess this will solve some of the issues people have been having. I have not had any real problems with it, names are aren't an issue for me :P

I'll be sticking to WLM 09 until the next version after 2011 is released. The pattern with Micrsoft is that every second thing they bring out isn't very good.

I prefer WLM2011 to WLM2009 now. Means people won't have those bloody names with colours and fonts and stuff. >_>

I got pissed off with people and their ridiculous name 3-4 years ago and renamed every single ones of my contacts so it's not an issue for me :L

oh well, i'm getting macbook air saturday (hopefully) so i'll be back to basicsI actually find it very reliable, WLM09 used to crash or "Not Respond" every few weeks, I'm yet to experience this with WLM11, the connection is also more reliable.

Funnily enough I created the thread heavily criticising it in the first place but I would actually recommend upgrading now :)

I have to agree this new messenger is growing on me.
At first it crashed all the time but it hasn't crashed at all lately, not really sure why but I'm not complaining :P Plus being able to talk to people on Facebook is brilliant, I know its nothing new but a nice addition to WLM

I've just recently upgraded from Windows XP to Windows 7 and have the new WLM.

It's a bit weird but it does kind of partly work for me. I do enjoy the fact that I can talk to WLM and Facebook users from one place, makes it handy, but it means scrolling a lot to see who's on. Maybe the way it's laid out could be easier.

I think they have went down the social network area, and while a lot use facebook have alienated a lot of other users. I also don't like the fact that you can't change your name and send/receive a single webcam feed.

I also was looking forward to the apparent video group chat feature that was apparently a few years ago in development, that would really be handy.

I'm really glad to hear Messenger Plus is here! :)

WLM 11 has defiantly improved since its first release, I'm pretty sure I have also got used to it. Its a bit more 'chunky' and what not but it does work, and I'm happy to use it.

Cheers for the post Jack.
