Scary Temperature Reading!

I just built a new PC for someone i know, and basically it all seems very cool except for this reading:

Should i be concerned?

That's a bit high for anything in your system, you need to find out what AUX is and you should be concerned.

Yeah, Find out what it is then worry, If we know what it is we might be able to help

Also the aux sensor will be different depending on your motherboard, but the liklihood is it's the chipset or power regulators for your CPU, you need to check and then get some better airflow.

If the temperature isn't changing at all then it's probably a non-existant sensor your software is trying to read that you don't need to worry about.

In Hardware Monitor, if Aux is being read from an unassigned input, then just ignore it. In SpeedFan, Aux can simply be disabled, and therefore ignored. My Aux temperature is currently 17c, which isn't possible, since ambient is 25c. I've seen it vary from -19c to 127c, which means it's an unassigned input from the super I/O (Input/Output) chip on the motherboard. It's a common anomoly.

I wouldn't worry about it, But if you are i think you can get another heatsink/fan for it
