What do I need to do to make a custom skin?

The forum in my signature needs a new skin. I'd like something that's appropriate for the forum theme, and I'd still like it to be purple. I need a 'mobile skin' for people who are on their mobiles, and just a better one in general. However I don't know how to make one, or, if I'm getting other people to make one, what to ask for, or what it requires.

Someone here a while back suggested some great new icons that are more appropriate for the new posts etc, but I don't know if it was a full set of them, where to find more, or, how to add them to the skin.

I suggest going to vBulletin.org and looking at the skins for free on there, and the other stuff such as buttons etc. :)

Thanks. I'm not sure what to do though, because I would need a custom banner, and I'm not sure how to add icons. I'm rather inept...

Well the banner you could design to fit the theme, and the upload to replace the one that comes with the theme, And buttons you just replace the ones you have i think with Vb

I went to the vb site but I couldn't find the skins? Is it just those ones in the forum?

Any idea how I'd get a 'mobile theme' one that goes well on mobile phones?
