I had the 2009 MSN, but when my laptop recently did the whole "LULZ WINDOWS UPDATE GONNA GIVE YOU THE SILLY NEW MSN" thing, I immediately uninstalled WLM, and the new WLM plus. I've been trying to install 2009 MSN for almost the whole afternoon now - no luck. I keep getting this notifcation

even though I have uninstalled it, and also restarted my laptop since. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance :)

Seems strange that it says you still have it, go into control panel and open up add or remove programs. is it still there by any chance?

It's the same with my laptop, I delete all folders and uninstalled and it still won't let me install it. I don't know what's wrong.

Could always try CCLeaner and run the registery tool and see if that helps, if not do a system restore to go back before WLM 2011 was automatically put onto your system.

Search the registry for anything to do with WLM/MSN after you've run CCleaner too.

This has never happened to me, it just automatically gets rid of the older versions. Hope you sort it out soon xx

As a tip as I had this problem: make sure ANYTHING related to wlm is removed - that does include think like wl mail, wl reader, wl family safety. Otherwise you won't be able to install it :)

Reinstall the latest one, and then use this tool to uninstall and completely remove WLM2011:
