Hi there.

We're currently looking to change our broadband provider from Sky, and looking for a new one.

We need a router included, so if anyone can recommend an ISP that would be brill!

(we only need broadband and not phone)

Virgin media is pretty good. i currently have 20mb broadband from them.

done a speed test and normally get around 17-19mb at peak times. Much better than sky and bt

*edit*
you get a router included and they are currently updating people from 20mb to 30mb for free :)

We've had no real problems with BT.

I'm thinking of going with BT.

if your going with bt, check your speed for broadband on there website first. they say you can get upto 20mb but most people only tend to get around 5mb at best

I'm with o2 broadband - they do home as well as mobile broadband and they are pretty decent.

Well that happens with every broadband provider if they're going over the old copper cabling. The only decent way you'll get full speed is if you have fibre.

yeah i have fibre, i got offered bt not long ago though and my friend (who works for sky) checked what speeds i would be getting and at the most i would be getting around 3mbs from bt

I have a really bad exchange, so I'm really not sure what to do. I'm currently on Sky, so do you think I would notice a change by switching to BT or TT? TalkTalk apparently has LLU and we're getting ASDL2+ by the 31st of March.

i think bt is pretty much the same as sky, so i doubt there would be that much difference. Ive never had problems with virgin though :)

Virgin does sound pretty attractive, but its installing and fitting it which is the problem. As its just to much hassle and costs a bomb to set up.

Virgin is wonderful and fast and had constant problems back with BT, they were horrendous, internet was always down and always slow.

Go with Karoo (http://www.k-c.co.uk/home/broadband).

I joke, you're lucky you get a choice :( We live in the only area in the UK that doesn't have a choice of broadband providers haha.

I think BT & Virgin are the best atm?
