Due to unforeseen changes coming to Habbox Helpdesk we currently do not have space for new trialists after all. Changes which will be occurring on Wednesday mean that we no longer have as many staff places available as we had originally thought.

Any Applications received over the past couple of weeks will be kept on record, and should any places come up in the next few weeks you will be contacted with a job offer.

I would like to apologise for the inconvenience caused by this, and would like to thank everybody who applied. We are sorry that you have essentially applied for nothing, however this was not the case when trials were opened. As stated your applications will be kept on record for when any spaces become available. General Management will be announcing the changes coming to the helpdesk on Wednesday.

Are they bloody serious? I worked my ass of on the app and it was all for nothing? Obviously places ARE open because they would not have opened them in the first place :S *Angry*

As stated in the post, places were available when the applications opened, but due to changes they now are not.
As Rosie said, things can change :)

You never know, you may be on the top of the list for a job if one comes up, so just wait and see :)

Yeh but what could they do that they can't have more staff?

Because people come and go all the time on Habbox and vacancies then arise.

This. Departmental structure changes all the time meaning that they may have to disregard applications in order to follow this. It doesn't mean all hope is lost because you've still got a few weeks to see vacancies. :)

At least they told you. Would you rather wait for weeks hoping or simply getting told there are no spots available?

I think responding to situations like this demonstrate bad qualities for future staff so just be wary of that.

Don't worry Ben. People will leave after the half term break has ended.

This too. I think the bigger issue if there was no communication between the management and the public- in this case there is because they have told you what position the Help Desk is in. I'd rather know now rather than two weeks down the line.

The department is re-vamping, and in the long run that is what Habbox is looking for, we want things to work to their full potential. You have to realize that management would rather wait till things are changed and are settled in before going in and hiring trialists, which would dump further workload on them and might not agree with the changes. At the end of the day, a few successful applicants will be probably be contacted in the near future, patience is a virtue.

To add, it wasn't for "nothing" considering they're not discarding your application, but simply holding it. There's a difference between putting something on hold and scrapping it.

Also you could just resend it if it was scrapped by going in your sent messages. As you said you had put a lot of effort into it.

Well at least they are keeping all aplications, it would be worse if they just chucked them all! They will probably need people in a few weeks time.

Things have changed and I think right now, seeing as there is all this change, there is not room or time to get some trialists.

As most people have said, all departments change. Obviously HxHD has had changes, so applications have been held, doesn't mean it's for nothing.
Having a go at the department for the applications is pathetic. Plus they said wait until Wednesday, it just shows the impatience in you.

Habbox reserves the right to withdraw any advertised position, we can only apologise about this however applications were opened before General Management meetings in regards to changing Habbox Help Desk and closed before a decision had been reached. We apologise if you feel you have "wasted your time" however you really haven't, as all applications will be kept on hold for future positions within Habbox Help Desk - applications will not open again for quite a long time, so you are lucky that you have an application on record.

Changes happen all the time and sometimes these changes disadvantage people but over-all will be the best for Habbox and this is what we need to look at - the bigger picture for Habbox, and like I said we can only apologise, although the best thing for HxHD at the moment is not taking on new trialists.
