So i torrented MW2 and was hoping i could just mount it and then install it, but there is no .iso file.
Theres just 2 folders ( named DVD1 + DVD2 ) and inside there are alot of rar files.

Is there anyway i can install i without burning to a DVD ?

I heard paying for the game makes it far easier. There are obviously ways, but to be fair until you know how to, why not stick to paying if you want to play it.

Open up the rar files in winrar or 7zip and find out whats inside :)

I wanted to torrent it first to make sure it would play on my laptop, my graphics card isn't the best.
I would of hated to buy the game then realised my crappy laptop wouldn't even play it.

Haha, now he has no excuse for not paying. Pisses me off when the PC Industry is already being left behind by many - with gaming developers not using PCs to their potential, then people pirate the games anyway - hardly going to convince developers to put more effort in.

Also, LUFC you won't get online mode either - which is easily the best bit of MW2.

Why not, He came here for help?

Because he is torrenting something that really isn't expensive, and helping make the pc gaming community even worse.

The whole 'checking if it works on my laptop thing' seems a little bit like crap, I mean if he thinks we can help him set up a torrent, I think he knows we are capable of telling him if his laptop can run the file..

I don't believe in torrenting something that is so easily affordable - especially in an industry that is already being left behind.

Right click the first rar > extract to folder. It'll extract the rest of them automatically.

As others have said, you could buy said game and give the developers the money they deserve (not like they get enough money already or anything...)

I am so bored of that argument. Are you saying that because someone makes a lot of money, they shouldn't get more?

Tell you what. Bill Gates. Give everyone your software for free, it isn't like you need more money.

But if you had that sort of money, would you want your company to go bankrupt? If he just gave everyone everything for free the company wouldn't last - no matter how much it is currently worth.

You said Bill Gates, Not microsoft.

He is only a minor part of Microsoft now, Granted he founded the company, But Now he has taken a back seat, If he was going to give me software I wouldn't say no, Just because he might loose a bit of money, It is estimated he makes around $300, A second

Bill Gates still have a HUGE influence in Microsoft though.

The fact is he wouldn't give everyone software, I never said you would say no. But there is a reason companies/company executives don't give everyone free software.

Yet your saying the PC gaming industry is dieing, Due to people torrenting games? No

"When we started the last decade, video game industry sales, including PC games, totaled $7.98B in 2000," said Anita Frazier, industry analyst, The NPD Group. "In ten years, the industry has changed dramatically in many ways, but most importantly it was grown over those years by more than 250 percent at retail alone. Considering there are many new sources of revenue including subscriptions and digital distribution, industry growth is even more impressive."

2009 U.S. VIDEO GAME INDUSTRY AND PC GAME SOFTWARE RETAIL SALES REACH $20.2 BILLION

Granted that statistic is a few years old, It will be higher now, Game producers are still making massive profits

2006 - $970 million - Thats the US, PC Physical media sales

There must be some kind of reason they don't bother maximising the computers potential. Look at Fifa - always a year/two years behind on PC. I love PC Gaming, but you can't really say people not paying for the games (considering less people already use PCs nowadays) is not affecting the gaming.

Well, think about it, A lot of people are still using older computers, And not all people upgrade as soon as new hardware is released, I personally don't, Think about the specs windows 7 can now run on, Even that is high for a lot of computers compared to what XP can run on, And that is still the dominant operating system

... and XP is ~10 years old, people should really be keeping up with technology. Feel free to argue against that but it's my 2 cents.

Well, a lot of people don't feel the need to, Until last year new computers were still shipping with XP, Why should they upgrade if they have only had it for such a short amount of time?

What were you trying to run it on out of interest?
