depends on what you mean by decent :P what kind of music are you into?

cos theres the obvious ones like glastonbury (but that's sold out i think), reading & leeds, V, isle of wight, which a lot of the time have a broad range of genres available, but then you get things like download and sonisphere that are for more rock and metal bands, or wireless is quite good because each day usually caters for a different type of music fan take a look at the line up i'm going to the friday :) http://www.wirelessfestival.co.uk/2011/lineup/

heres a list that you can pick from

reading/leeds
V festival
isle of wight
download
sonisphere
wireless
radio 1's big weekend (usually in may)
latitude
bestival
t4 on the beach
capital fm jingle bell ball
wakestock
underage

and i know you said in england or wales, but t in the park (scotland) and oxegen (ireland) could be worth a look at too :)

Creamfields if you want one that's constant good music at a decent price, you will have to be over 18 though as it's not one where kids run around with their WKD and band tees

Go to "Oxegen" in Ireland ;) I know a few freinds coming over from the UK for it although it's kinda hard to get tickets since there are a ton of big names performing at it.

Wakestock was pretty good for the rare, dubstep scene last year. I'm thinking of vFest this year the line up looks insane

Last year's Leeds killed me (in a bad way) :(
Won't be going again I think.

Headliners for it are Strokes, Muse and someone else though - not bothered

Lineup hasn't actually been announced for Reading/Leeds yet - Strokes and Muse are only rumours.

However, Reading will be ******* awesome, is every year.

Depends where you live. i live in surrey and Guilfest (fairly local) is amazing. Not much on the lineup this year apart from James blunt and razorlight. But local festivals like this are often cheap and great!.
If you want a bigger festival Reading last year was better than glastonbury IMO and the Isle of White festival is looking great.

I was offered a job at the IOW festival and i'm still deciding whether to take it or not XD

Creamfields seems to attract an older audience but I prefer the music at reading...
guess it all depends on your taste really!
V festival line up is looking good though this year

What this guy said GuilFest is a decent small-middle festival. Last years line up was pretty good with Tinie Tempah, Nero, Hadouken, The King Blues, Sub-Focus, Chase & Status (DJ set) for £120 and this year i'm hoping it to be just as good.
