Okay so I have work experience next week in a retailer. I have to wear formal clothes and I had to get a blue shirt. So at the moment, I am going to wear a blue shirt, with a black cardigan over it & black trousers, however I am not sure at all what to wear for footwear.
I asked the manager & assistant manager, they werent that useful, they just told me what I already knew, no pumps, no trainers, must be black & 'formal.'
The thing is, I don't have anything like that. But I need to get some and I don't want to dash out money on something that I am only going to be wearing for 2 weeks, then most probably never wearing again, so if any of you guys could find me anything suitable, some nice looking (by nice looking I mean, no ugly shoes please :P) cheap, black formal shoes but please, dont make them too formal if that makes sense.
Thanks! +rep
why not take a look at some clothes / shoe websites im sure that they will have plenty of stuff which will be what you are looking for OR why not try some clothes shops near to where you live :)
Good luck on your work experience, hope you enjoy it :)

Just get some dressy shoes - did you wear any black smart shoes to prom if you've already had it? If yeah then wear them. When I go to job interviews I wear my prom shoes which are just some smart black shoes from next - £45
Head to the store and observe the staff and see what footwear they are wearing.
