ok so for my exam in 2 monday's i get 2 hours 40 minutes. that's roughly 40 minutes to do 6 or 7 questions worth 40 marks and an hour each for 2 30 mark essays. i literally have like no time to spare at all. i can do the essays within 40-50 minutes usually but that's if i have a break in between them. i tried to do them both today within 2 hours but my hands get sore after the first hour lol. i really dunno how im gonna do 2 essays and questions without my wrists snapping....
anyone been in the same boat or how long was your longest?

Same here my longest was 2 and a half for english. D: The thing I did was just roll my wrist whilst I read through my paper to make sure it made sence then I was fine just stretch your fingers so often. :)

I had a 4 hour higher computing exam :'( It was soooo long!
It was in 3 parts, short response questions worth 30 marks then the next section you had to give at least 2 paragraph answers to the questions worth 60 marks then the 3rd part was about whatever optional unit we studied worth 50 marks

I've had a 2 and a half hour English exam but I just took a minute every half an hour so strech my fingers and such, if you don't do that then you'll just end up writing slower. Good luck!

3 hour Computing exam. Most of the answers you have to give are at least a paragraph or two long, and there's a lot of them. :(

A 25 hour music exam? What does it involve?
20 hours of composition, but cos I get 25% extra time it makes it' 25 hours. Basically you've got to write a full length music piece in a specified style with other specifications (eg; only allowed certain instruments, time signature, tempo, key etc.) and you can't just churn those out in 1 hour unfortunately.

Is it only two hours now for stats coursework? Did you do the full course?
My coursework for stats was 24 ******* pages.

You make it sound far worse than it is lol You can do it in fifteen minute blocks if you like, and the specifications are dependant on the style. For example, I did a Salsa piece which had: Guiro, Egg Shaker, Congas, Bongos, Wood block, Alto and Tenor sax, bass, guitar, piano and double agogo bells.
Was awesome, A* thanks x :P
Time Signature - takes what, 5 seconds to decide?
Key Signature - 15 seconds?
Tempo - 10 seconds?
Then use Sibelius to put all the music on a score

24 pages is nothing! I did 25 pages for my Physics coursework and 108 pages for my Computing coursework. :P
I wouldn't be surprised if this years Computing coursework is in excess of 150 pages, there's so much to do, and so little time to do it in! :(

True. I just hope I don't have to do something like that I just want to do an alternative/rock piece without vocals :P

Vocals are the worst parts.
You can pick out of the syllabus can't you?
Our teacher recommended certain topics to us, salsa and irish jig and reel are supposed to be the hardest ones at GCSE level

I think so. I have 1 to 1 lessons cos am epic like that, but my teacher got a recording contract so it's all gone a bit pear-shaped now so I'm going to fail my GCSE, but yeah. I have NO idea how to do any of those though LOL. Basic rock instrumental ftw (H)
