Mix or not, it'd still be classed as illegal file sharing.

If a certain track contains more than 30 seconds of the original track, then its classed as illegal file sharing unless the person contacted each artist individually and asked for permission (which I doubt).

Yeah and it can also get the DJ's into trouble.

He is a licensed DJ who plays at Clubs and such. Creating his own mixes and sharing them are completely legal. People do it all the time. And why are you even saying anything about it, I know, that every DJ here has illegal songs. Nobody is going to itunes paying 2$ for each one.
Now i'm not saying i have illegal songs, i did not state that.

If you can find proof for every member of the Habboxlive department (seeing as you said every) having illegal songs then I'll believe what you say.

because people do it all the time doesn't make it legal.
it may not be the point, but you brought it up.

If habboxlive djs choose to share illegal music privately, then so be it. Nothing can be done. A licensed DJ doesn't mean one has the right to share the music they purchased with others. He has the right to play the tracks publicly, yes but not to share them. Creating his own mixes and sharing them with friends is completely legal, once he is only using less than 30 seconds from a song or created the music from scratch.

Find the links yourself, its common sense. Contact PPKUK if you want answers. Even if you've created the mix yourself, if it contains other people's music, then it is technically infringing copyright. If I need to spoon feed you anymore, god help us all.
Example:
I sell you a song I created, you mix it then upload it. I have the right to tell you to take it down as it's my track. I am simply selling you it so you can listen to it personally, if your friend has a broadcasting licence, it allows him to share the personal track with others without allowing them to actually download the file. If one could buy a track then share it why are these websites which allow you to download the tracks illegal? wait, I'm not even going to bother wasting my time explaining if you think its legal to share other peoples music, then you really shouldn't be a presenter.

PPKUK, im american. Thanks.
with your statement:

False.
File sharing is illegal, creating a mix is not.
Making a cd or giving the file out to your friends/gf/family is not illegal.
Only the filesharing of this is illegal.
edit:

Wow I'm sorry but you really need to sort some things our before you start presenting.
Creating a mix isn't illegal, allowing people to download your mix is technically illegal.
"Making a cd or giving the file out to your friends/gf/family" is illegal, you are making another hard copy of the original file, which is illegal. If that was the case, I'd be sharing all my purchased music with friends. As would anyone else.

Thread as this isn't a feedback thread anymore and the opening content has been removed therefore the thread is pointless. You are more than welcome to carry on this discussion in a more appropriate forum :)
