I remember someone saying how we don't have a forum techie, so I assume the skin has just been disabled and left to rot. I'm starting to have withdrawal symptoms and unfortunately I don't think we'll be seeing it any time soon. I might not last the month. I think the blue skin was removed some time ago as well, that too, it would seem, is now just a part of Habbox history.

I'll honestly be SOOOOOOOOOOOOO annoyed if Classic Skin does not come back. It was the default skin for years, i can't use this *REMOVED* site skin, sucks :(

Sadly such skin is not really a high priority at the moment. We currently have no ETA on when the skin will be back available for all users, once we do I'm sure we will inform you all who are missing it dearly.

I'm gonna make sure you don't forget to do it! :)
Feedback threads monthly MWAHAHAH!
I need my beloved skin back! :( But i understand other things are of higher priority atm.

LOL +rep.
If everyone who uses the classic skin left the forum in protest, all the oldest and best users would be gone :(
Thus you should listen to us :D

Hit the nail on the head pretty much. Habbox isn't Habbox without the classic skin.

I do actually wonder how many users actually use such skin or did when it was available. Anyway, hopefully it will be back soon and not lost forever.
I miss it, some nostalgia is coming along. This is an insult to old users, I propose we fire Jin asap
On a more serious note, I propose you bring a techie in, because usually this coming soon means coming in the year 3000, which is also quite a nice song.

It matters little how many used it, only that it was the original Habbox skin! It was the forums soul, so to speak, but now the forum has lost its soul and has become tainted and impure.

I didn't mean it like if only so little people use it, no point bringing it back and fixing it so it works correctly. I was just wondering how many users actually did :P
Many old and loyal users did use it, sure they weren't the majority but they have been the base of HxF for many years and it is also necessary to satisfy such users.
Inseriousity.

There was a poll ages ago and the majority of people used the classic skin but maybe that was just cos it was the default and they couldn't be bothered changing it and ofc times change so maybe another poll could be done later after v6 is done and dusted (so the year 3000 eh grig? ;)).
I used to use the classic skin but I use the site skin now anyway so this doesn't really affect me that much :D

I totally understand the who priority thing, but absolutely nothing is priority at the moment apart from V6.
And don't tell me 'everyone is working solidly for it' - since one minute 'Davids the only person who is working on it' - when it is to your advantage, and when some is 'not priority' it is because every person on Habbox is working towards it.
Don't get me wrong, I don't klnow either way, but that is the impression I and other more 'techie' based people on here seem to have got.

That would be wrong, although David is the only person coding v6 it's not just code which builds a website, obviously we wouldn't launch a site without any content as that would be a bit stupid :P Danube and his team of Rare Values Staff have uploaded thousands of images to v6 ensuring that every piece of Habbo Furni ever released is on our servers (not a nice job if you ask me). I've been using the site on a daily basis rather than Habbox.com to bug test for David as has MattG. Our graphics team have worked extremely hard on graphics for the site and pretty soon our news reporters will be putting all the news reports and articles from the past 3 months on the site. So it's pretty true that everybody has been working damn hard on v6 and as you quite clearly stated v6 is the priority of Habbox at the moment.
That being said, I've seen the state of the classic skin and it's pretty mashed up, the thing is the Classic Skin required heavy customisation from what skins vb4 supports so everytime we upgrade it kinda changes, the last upgrade we had was from 4.0.7 to 4.1.2 which is a huge jump and it's completely impaled the poor classic skin. We aren't gonna bother giving you an ETA on it but I think it'll be back before long, let's get v6 out of the way first though ;)

The new system is entirely different to the old one so everything has had to be done from scratch, as I said Danube and his team worked extremely hard to meet a deadline which involved uploading quite literally thousands of images.

We are using an interactive system which requires thousands of images, literally thousands. Each rare has a large image and a small image, and for every angle and every clicked motion a rare has there is an image uploaded. Moreover there are also category images.

Fair enough - obviously since I am not involved I did not know this :)
Look forward to release 1 in 20 days or so :)

This is V6:

You've set the bar too high in my opinion and that's the reason for mass delays. inaccuracies in reported time to completion.

Shall we just call you Mr. Ignorant from now on or did you post this out of cluelessness?
V6 is basically ready to be released at any time, and the changes being made now are purely minor and cosmetic.

There have been no delays with v6, the deadline set when the specification was drawn up was Q1 2011 which doesnt end until the end of this month. v6 has been usable for some time now, as I said earlier - I use v6 rather than Habbox.com now.

Habbox wasn't missing THAT much on furni :P
Actually we were :P
I made a MASSIVE list of everything missing, and there were 1500 items on it. I then gathered all the images and uploaded (plus i had to replace all old images). Now it's changed again so i need to add like 5000 more images or something silly :P So yeah i need to give up on life and just live on Habbox tbh to get this done! lols.
Erm yeah. Get classic skin back please.
I'll accept it even if it's broke :P Cos site skin doesn't work for me, what with this security token thing.
WE ARE GOING OFFTOPIC
CLASSIC SKIN OR DEATH

Guys try the pink skin
You'll never go back
There are a couple things that have been said here, which do not relate anyway to the classic skin:
1. Rare values has nothing to do with the creating or coding of a skin.
2. Getting a coder for the forum isn't related to the site, unless of course, David knows how to do both.
3. Focus needs to be distributed not to just the site, if I only came here to use the forum and have done so for years, I wouldn't nor couldn't care less about the site.
I'm not criticizing, I'm just pointing out some issues from what I have read in this thread :).

These are not issues grig, rare values came into it as Dom asked who exactly was working on v6.
At the end of the day HabboxForum is not neglected, over the past year it's received much more attention than ever before. The classic skin being unavailable for a while is not a major issue - all major issues are fixed almost immediately - if they weren't then I would agree that there's a problem.
I have said in this thread I cannot imagine the classic skin will be gone for too long, as General Management do plan ahead but quite frankly my priorities at the moment are with the site - the minor issues on HabboxForum (and trust me they are minor) can wait.
