Is their anyway I can pay yearly using Pounds (Sterlings) (£)?

If the website that I am making in progress becomes popular, I may consider buying a vBulletin forum, but I need to know if you can pay in English pounds (Sterlings) first.

Edit by X-Ray (Super-thing..): I have found out, it is £43.00, but it does not state how long. It says vBulletin (Leased License)
The leased vBulletin Forum license allows you to use the software on your site for 1 year and gives you access to products updates for that year. After 1 year, you must renew your license or remove the software from your site.

This license includes free email and forum support. It says "1-2 £43.00" what does this mean?

So if I wanted to purchase one board, it'd cost me £43.00..

And if I wanted to purchase two boards, it'd cost me £86.00?!

Edit by X-Ray (The Ultimate.. Err...): It says, for £63.00 extra it removes all Jelsoft and vBulletin branding, what are these?

Copyrights at the bottom of the board

it costs £43 for a leased but if u wanted 2 boards it would be like £40 each as the more you buy the grater the save. A leased lasts for a year with free updates in that time and a owned lasts for ever but you only get updates for a year and if you want the latest versions you would have to renew

Thats why its better to get a IPB! www.invisionboard.com

no 2 boards would be £86 thats why it says 1-2 £43 say 50+ boards is £20 each

I want one with reputation. That's for sure.. And a leased one, is that just like any other, except you don't FULLY own it. Still the same admin controls etc.?

tbh imo no m8

There are barely any add ons for vB. When for IPB you can get hundereds e.g www.invisionize.com www.invisionhacks.com the list is endless.

OH GREAT!
I have no dollars, and I can't find a way to change the currency to pay for an IPB! :'(

u dont have to convert it does it automatically. and i have both vbulletin and ipb, so far i prefer ipb but thats only beacuse of the way it looks, they both have the main features and u can get hacks for both if ur forum is legal, but i would recommend getting ipb to start of with as it is cheaper

Hi X-Ray,

You should go for a owned licence. It is $160. It comes to about £80, and 1 years of supoprt and upgrades.

zainx
15-08-2005, 07:08 PM
But why would he do that, from looking at his posts/thread i see that this is his first time at making a website. So why spend more than he needs to. And you get 1 year support and upgrade with a leased

Magnet
15-08-2005, 07:22 PM
And I don't have £80.00. I'm only a kid y'know... 6 years younger then the Hobba limit. I will have to save up a hell of alot of money to buy an owned license. The leased one is just the same... Isn't it?!!11!1!!!!one!1!1!!!11!!11seventy-four!!1!!

TheGSP
15-08-2005, 07:37 PM
Hey,

It works out the same, but in the long run, owned is cheaper.

zainx
15-08-2005, 08:15 PM
Its not if he wants to keep up to date with updates

TheGSP
15-08-2005, 08:19 PM
Hey zainx,

If he buys the owned licence, on the second year you can buy support etc for £15.

Magnet
16-08-2005, 12:54 PM
But I don't have the money!!

I ain't rich, I'm only a darn kid, and us ourselves in our family are short in money.

TheGSP

Hey,

I would start off with invision 2.0 final trial. Then get a bigger community, and then buy vB.

Magnet

Hey, I will be making my wesbsite. Then if that gets popular I will buy a vBulletin forum :D And if that gets popular I'll renew it yearly.
