Today it seems embedded youtube videos are being very choppy to the point they're unwatchable, is anyone else having this problem? (test below)

You can compare the choppyness of the embedded video with the one directly on the site: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6GLX3PvJQ9A

I just checked again and it's pausing for up to 3 seconds at once. I highly doubt it's my hardware.

Fair enough :P

Have you got the latest Flash? I know they recently updated it to include GPU acceleration for video and it was buggy as hell, but I think they've fixed that in a further update.

Reinstalled flash with latest version and no improvements :/

The problem is the same in other browsers and is worse in FF than in IE

Then there's something else going on you need to look at, like updating your gfx drivers.

I've had this problem for a while now, I always put it down to my laptop being extremely old and crappy (although it only happens on the embedded videos), but it never used to happen at all, no idea what changed.
