This thread is a discussion of the new season of torchwood. Below i'll post a summary of the plot line so there won't be any major spoilers.

The series is entitled Torchwood: Miracle day.

Summary: One day on planet earth No-One dies, and then another day and another and another. The goverment predicts it will be 7 months before the earth will exceed it's maximum population and we run out of resources.

The story follows an american named Rex Matherson who uncovers this secret and the secrets of torchwood, he then goes on to discover the mystery behind the dissapearence of torchwood and locate the 2 remaining members (Jack harkness who has dissapeared, and Gwen cooper who has gone into hiding) the rest of the series is about rebuilding torchwood and how the world deals with this phenominon.

Extra info: It will be set over 10 episodes, with single incidents in each episode but with an overal storyling (sort of mixing series 1&2 with children of earth)

The BBC are planning to release this series on the 1st of July

The storylines will take place in a mix of Wales and America.

I personally cannot wait and think this series sounds amazing.

I hope they base the new tochrwood in the style of Children of Earth and not the first 2 seasons.

I like Torchwood but found it was often too over the top with sex and comedy, in the sense that sometimes what could have been tense gripping sense where ruined. It was classed as an adult series but felt like a teen series.

However I was surprised with Children of Earth and loved it.

It's another Children Of Earth which may be the best thing that came out of NewWho since Blink.

Torchwood, the show, never happened.
