Hey guys.

Four Sundays ago I fractured my little finger on my right hand when playing Football. Doctors told me I'll be out for 4-6 weeks.

At the moment...
I can make a full fist with the finger. I can wave the finger and I can play some physical activities. The thing is when I knock it the pain increases so much that I weep :D

And the other problem is, I'm a GK. And Fingers are pretty useful in this position. As it's a Semi Final, I want to play. I've never made it this far in the Cup before and want to experience it now! Even with a broken finger.

I cba going to the Walk-in Centre asking for advise as they'll tell me not to play. I'm aware that my finger may deform if I play physical/contact sports if the finger isn't healed, but bahh it's only my lil' finger!

I just want to limit the pain as much as I can and possibly decrease the chance of the finger deforming.

What would you advise me to do (other than not to play) in the run up for the game this Sunday?

I'd probably advise that you make an appointment with your GP and maybe wrap it up with some bandages to keep the finger in one position and you should be okay to play.

tape it as much as you can, i was going to say i have played with a broken finger before which i did the day before however i do play up front haha. If it's only your little finger it should be too bad pain wise unless you get a direct hit. Use deep freeze, tape it and then take pain killers!

If you play at a decent level your finger is gonna be ****** up by the end of the game.

not necessarily, depends how much he has to do in the game also it is only his little finger.

Hence why I said a decent level - if it is a good level you should expect for a decent amount of the ball really.

And sorry didn't see it was his little finger :)

Its all to do with how good his defenders are ;)

We won with ease! I took two pain killers prior to the game and taped the finger and felt no pain what so ever! I made one good save and that was it really. There was several corners balls which I collected in my hands so yeah delighted that it didn't deform or anything! :)

Roll on the final!
