And if so, why?

Yes.

Moderation,
Validation,
Verification,
Intergration,
Activation,
Administration (in the paper work type sense not the hierarchy of control sense)

It is very important to a lot of developing features.

Ah ok, could we not have an option to like change what our username appears as, but it's still under our habbo name. So like we would have to log in with our habbo name, but in the setting's we could have an option to change what it looks like to other users? but obviously it would still be under the habbo name so it would still work for all the reasons you stated.

You will have to explain to me why this would be beneficial? Because even news commenting will display your habbo avatar, habbo name and link it to your habbo home.

Oh, I didn't realise it did that. Nevermind.

originally it was register any name and then verify your habbo name but then we noticed apart from login there was never an area where we would use a name different to a users habbo name so it was decided we would scrap separate names.

This won't make a difference to the forum, you will always be able to register non-habbo forum names as the forum does provide non-habbo features unlike habbox.com. You will eventually be able to link your forum and habbox.com accounts together but retain the two separate usernames.

What if you dont have a Habbo?

Why would you make an account on a Habbo fansite if you don't have a Habbo...

Some would create a HxF account for Runescape and they may feel the need to join the habbox site.

The forum, I could understand because there is non-habbo related forums. But the Habbox site isn't exactly going to have a runescape section anytime soon? If they do wish to sign up then they will need to make a habbo account.

Then they will need to go and register an account on Habbo.

There is nothing stopping them creating a Habbo account :P

As if compelled by lust to register on habbox.com to caress it's buttons and play with it's navigation. :P

Yeah as mentioned they will need to register a habbo account. If they don't register a habbo account then 99% of the extended features will not function thus making their registration pointless.
