Alright, I'm looking to buy a dedicated server for Minecraft. I have a YouTube channel of 115,000 people and I want the server to hold the maximum amount as possible. I've no idea what this is but around 25-50 at one time would be nice. I've no idea where to buy from or no idea how to edit the server. I was looking to implement mods such as the SDK Gun Mod for some shooting fun. Anyone help me?

For that size a server you're looking at a dedicated server really. For your sake I'd pick a Windows one.

I would highly suggest this one http://www.server4you.com/root-server/server-details.php?products=1 and get it hosted in the EU which will be ~£55 a month.

Once you've got that it's a case of downloading the craftbukkit.jar and reading a tutorial on how to set it up and install plugins.

or buy one of them from a site like this (http://www.multiplaygameservers.com/game-servers/mc-minecraft/)

50 players - £60
100 players - £153.

It probably is a bit more expensive, but i dont know if you've seen how much time like recursion n that have spent setting it up and dealing with errors and the like, just amkes everything much simpler.

ALSO I WANNA PLAY ON IT

If you really have no idea about managing your own server you're best off going with something like multiplay as suggested above.

If you do want to run your own, 50 players is going to need a large VPS or a dedicated server with 3GB of RAM. Efficiency of how many players you can have per GB increases as the size of the server increases. So maybe a large map on a 10 person server would need 1GB, but a 100 person may only need 5GB. Also as map size increases you need may need slightly more RAM per player.

I have VPS's from this company https://clients.thrustvps.com/cart.php?gid=1

You should definitely try to get something located in Europe otherwise fighting mobs becomes a bit laggy when ping is high. But anything less than 50-60ms will feel quite snappy.

Really? :S 32 players easily maxes 8GB RAM, you gotta remember SMP has bad memory leaks too.

??? Some how doubt it. And the memory leaks aren't as bad any more.
