Hey Guys,

I am a REP from WantedFM. We are a brand new global internet radio that is about to hit the world wide web by storm.

If you want to check out the pre site go to www.wantedfm.com

The site is fully ran by teens for teens and only the best of the best DJ's will be selected. (Simply because we are close to getting a contract which allows for us to broadcast on FM Transmitters)

If you wish to apply email your cv (resume) to [email protected] or feel free to private message me

We even have models - We call them our WANTED GIRLS. You wont find them anywhere else...

Lets kick this off with a bang.
Oh and we have Cody Simpson on air for our opening show

Check it out | Apply | Tune in - Wanted FM ... It's what you WANT!

Cheers.

Our station is based in New Zealand so everything has been taken care of.
WantedFM will bring the prizes, the entertainment, and of course, the celebrities.

Not to mention we have models representing our station; which is a bonus. We're going to be purchasing an FM Transmitter very shortly.
Our station is online 24hrs.

and I believe Cody Simpson will be hosting our launch show. But you'll have to talk to Dylan ([email protected]) about that.

If you are based in new Zealand and are broadcasting to people in the uk you will still need to purchase a licence from PPLUK.

Good luck with it though :).

It will only be for a short period. Once we get our transmitter, then it will be strictly NZ based.
I'm from the US but I'm still familiar with the licensing agreement. But I'm sure it's been discussed and will/should be taken care of.

Thank you for the reply!

I'm confused. Why is that a bonus? Why, in this very early stage of a very small radio, do you need 'models'?

Dylan & I are real good friends with the models (yes, even before the website). They have offered their support for WantedFM. There's nothing wrong with a little... female support. :P

We have also received numerous comments about the models,

Quote, "They're the reason I viewed the website xD".

Thank you for your reply.

You might be looking for the wrong supportive community. I'd much rather have a smaller community than 200 horny boys / men.

Sounds incredibly sexist and amateur.
Is there any actual reason for you to have pictures of them on the site?

i think the idea of them using the models is just to gain some interest from the off? but hopefully they can attract some female DJs too otherwise it will be seen as a site which is just using models to make the boy visitors happy? lol

good luck.

WantedFM is growing rapidly in New Zealand but we're on the lookout for international broadcasters. Send your resume and demo tape to [email protected]

If your going to be entirely FM in NZ why advertise online jobs. If you can afford a large mast I gather you have a studio which you'd want to use.

I'd love to turn my web station into an FM but to actually get the usage out of the studio and all its prices, from the tower to simple stuff like renting the space, electric etc. I'd have to replace all my presenters with local people.

You also mentioned its only for a short time, but you still need to be licensed. Streaming unlicensed if your playing copyrighted stuff is still against the law.

It doesn't seem too bad, and you've definitely got the makings of a good station- but the on-air presenter at the time of this post was not FM caliber, so it makes you wonder whether you're ready for that kind of transition.

It just sounded a bit fuzzy, bedroom lockupish and not amazingly professional. I don't know what you're going for in terms of that but I wouldn't want to hear it on an FM station tbh.

Also, I'd recognise the Listen Live button taken from Absolute Radio (http://absoluteradio.com) just about anywhere :P Do kick your web designer!

I'm confused.. you have a studio but no equipment. You have a laptop with a crappy 10£ microphone, no offence but you have mixed up your priority's.

peteyt

Had to rep that sorry guys.

If you can afford an actual radio mast, which apparently you are purchasing, then surely you'll be able to afford a decent microphone, mixer etc.

You do realise as you moved your headphones you probably lost quality while moving it too. But most headsets might be good for gaming and stuff but you wouldn't use them for actual radio broacasting.

You have been showing people that WantedFM launch party video and if they bothered to go to your video page then they'll notice you have a 'How to hack IPBoards'. Also, on your Facebook page you wrote that status which Elliot pointed out with a possible threat to the user related to the status. You're giving an awful impression on your website and to do that on a PUBLIC OFFICIAL Twitter is just damn right stupid. If you had any sense of managing a website then you'll ignore the person and actually wait until they do the action and then you'll inform the authorities not show all your followers how immature and stupid you are.

I thought this is a Non-Habbo station, which is exactly why you're ripping source codes from other Habbo websites right?
var eplayer = new elvisplayerClass(); document.observe( 'dom:loaded', function() { var flashvars = { 'file': 'http://74.80.225.18:8004/;stream.nsv', 'title': 'Holiday FM - Player Copyright to HabboHoliday.com', 'type': 'sound', 'duration': '999999',

And I'm pretty sure you said you was an FM station? If you're an FM station then why are you struggling to get 100 listeners?

Other than that it's alright. As Richie said, you should get a better microphone and some mixers as I suppose your setup at the moment is just basic and it isn't too good if you have a studio webcam.

I am only the PR for WantedFM. Dylan, who owns the station & the website, owned HabboHoliday a long time ago. So I would appreciate your apology.

We're working on the equipment. We're gaining revenue so it won't be long now. We have investors lined up. Not to mention RadioJinglesVIP is featuring WantedFM on their main site.

You have to admit. This is pretty cool coming from a bunch of teenagers. I'm from the US but I'm taking a trip to NZ in a couple months.

Oh, and we're not FM quite yet.

Apologies for the HabboHoliday thing then but I think you should take it off as if people look at it in future then they'll think you stole all the scripts from a Habbo fansite.

Like we care?
The only ones stupid enough to waste their time to try and sabotage the site are trolls and virgins.
But I will pass that on to Dylan.

Yeah, why try and take down the odd website when you're too busy having sex once in a while :|

"Dylan & I are real good friends with the models"- Out of interest, if you're in the US and Dylan is in NZ, do these models clock up frequent air miles to see you both or something?

I know it is. What I mean is why not buy the stuff, plan it out then launch. Just too many online radio stations seem to just launch, then offer jobs and sort other stuff out.

I'm talking from experience. My old old station I launched it just one day, just like that. My new one has been under development for quite a few months, and now is accepting applications so we can continue working on site and then launch fully working in a few more months time.

We just have so much support from the city. They don't care if we have proper equipment or not.
They're excited about listening and supporting a station in their area.

Some people on here need to cut these lads some criticism. They are only young, and are obviously having some fun. They will invest, and they will grow. But not everything will come into once. They seem pretty good, and seem like they know what they need and don't need, but will come in time.

Criticism is good, but to a extent. Not like they are a huge failure, and some 40 year olds trying to pull a professional company of. Anyway... I think it looks quite amazing. Yes, you should get a license... But that'll come in time, and just find your self lucky if you don't get caught. I also recommend that you don't turn FM, and stay as a online based station. Maybe invest a little bit more before aiming that far.

Good luck!

Thank you Conceitex. We're trying our hardest to provide for the listeners.
We're not sure about switching to FM anytime soon.
Although New Zealand would probably be the easiest to broadcast FM.
Online-only does sound great (for now).

I want to go fm and get a studio. My problem is I'd then have to lay most of my staff off and replace them with local people. May happen oneday ha.

Becoming FM isn't just something anyone can really do though. You will need a lot of investment, and reputation. So start of small, become big, and grow... Then think in becoming bigger and better. All comes in time, but not over night.
