Hey,
Lets just say buying donator, rather than donating to habbox because lets be honest people do it for the sexy name. I personally think it's fine and if it is helping habbox keep the servers up the more the merrier. What I don't agree with though is people basically selling donator for habbo furniture. If sulake look at it from were the public are looking at it, it's just going to make them assume you're taking the absolute piss. They don't like people trading habbo furniture for anything off the hotel anyways, so I'm sure it wouldn't really tickle their pickle. Someone is meant to be donating to help habbox and in return getting a nice username for the status of being a donator, not buying donator for the features. What makes it worse is people blatantly say "Selling donator" and it's happening on the forum, so it isn't donating it is buying a service through the website for another user.


Anyway I don't know if you guys get what I mean, you probs think i've contradicted myself but tbh its hard to explain, I will try explain more when im wide awake. I'm tired and need sleep.

Oh and whilst I'm on topic, you can tell that the "sell donator forum" was just tweaked from "sell vip forum" because most of the "read rules of forum" etc need updating as it says "thanks, vip management" or whatever

and before the mods warn me for off topic posts, I shall add that I get what you mean here and you do have a point. I think we should just sell VIP, mainly cause other sites have been bending rules on this and offering more features, but of course I doubt Habbo cares about this Rich, seeing if they were they would have emailed management ages ago.

It's been said time and time again, we can't sell VIP because we aren't allowed. We start selling VIP and it's just going to be pointless.

In regards to what you said about the donator, some people can't buy it therefore they offer someone else something in exchange. This could be for several reasons such as maybe their parents keep track of what they use their phone for and wouldn't agree with it, they don't have/are too young to have paypal etc. Either way money will still be donated in the end even if it isn't their money.

Maybe some people do only buy donator for the features but it is still called donator because they are still donating their money as well as getting a little thankyou in return for it.

As Grig said, if sulake really did have a problem with this then they would have contacted management by now because it's not as if they haven't seen that section of the forum before. When you say "They don't like people trading habbo furniture for anything off the hotel anyways" that isn't necessarily true as there was a recent post made by redtiz in RuneScape feedback thread saying that they don't mind RuneScape and Habbo item trading.

I will also have a look around the donator forum and tidy it up a bit if it needs updating.

I think this is why it should be left as it is. At the end of the day, whether people are using Habbo furniture or spending their own money, someone somewhere along the line is going to have to buy it therefore more money for Habbox. As having 'Donator' isn't always out of the goodness of people's hearts, if ever really, it'd be really foolish to take it away. Obviously I'm not sure on the finances cos they're not really public knowledge (well the details anyway) but as it's not going to be a mega huge profit, I'm not sure if Habbox would still maintain that small tiny profit if it was not for the various methods of buying it.
