I think it's great that version 6 has been finally been released. Management are now actually concentrating on habbox.com, I really hope after the beta stages all the concern doesn't float back to the forum.
The design is nice but I do think bits could be improved (I'm sure all that will wait until after the beta stages)
Everything was going down hill, now it all seems to be going well. Habboxlive is increasing listeners, events & competitions seem to be on allot more, the rare values department will survive now with the new features on the site, they bring a bigger outlook on things. All the other departments don't really need praise (Because I haven't noticed downfall) / I don't use them, but I'm glad everything is going back to the way it was. I really hope when departments such as habboxlive reach those really high numbers again, presenters don't get sloppy. Whether you have 10 or 510 people using your department you always need to be on the ball, well that's how I see it.
Congrats again to all, summer is going to lift peoples spirits even more, habbox will have tones of people using the site due to school being closed / holidays and that. The site will hopefully be booming, close to what it was in previous years, by September / October i'd imagine, so best of luck with it all.

lol competitions are the same, it only looks like more cos we had to play catch up when the server went down but everything else you said like hxl, rv and events is true.... oh right praise, why am I arguing against praise :P
I think general management, for ages, have said that the site is neglected in favour of the forum and I hope the new features that the site will hopefully get after the beta stages have passed will readdress this balance. As long as it doesn't go the opposite way now (site over forum), it should hopefully be better! :D

At the bolded, management have been concentrating on Habbox.com for months - that site didn't appear overnight, it took lots of planning on everyone's part and that includes managers like Dan, Luke or Charlie who helped on the News and Rares scripts giving feedback and working out the kinks!

I'm sure it did but from a public view it was neglected in the past, I know they've put in a tone of effort, I didn't mean to offend anyone :P

I admit that at first i was a little underwhelmed by the site after it was hyped up so much since i joined the forums.
However i do realise it's in beta, and as i use it more and more it really is growing on me. So well done to all involved and especially to David for his part.
I'm glad that the rv thing is now working quite well for me. There are a few things i dislike/bugs, however i'll give it a bit of time before i complain ;)

Gonna print the first post out and pin it on ma wall... an RV compliment from richie!
But yeah, it's nice to see more emphasis on Habbox.com. It's wierd how HxL listeners have gone up just from a layout change :S

Habboxlive staff have been doing well too, I noticed way more advertising in events and giveaways :P
And -danoob- I want to see the print on your wall!

Don't think the rise in listeners is just because of the new layout :P They were rising before the new layout, It's a combination of the new layout and the really hard promotion work on the client that HabboxLive staff have been doing such as giveaways and events on there. Would be nice for some other departments to host some giveaways as well as it seems to only be habboxlive/martin that does them! :P

It is nice to see more emphasis on the site now. Literally the day after I became AGM last year v6 was mentioned and we were on tenterhooks for months and it just became an excuse in the end. I can't wait to see how the site continues to evolve into its former glory :).

March in general wasn't appearing to be a very good month for Habbox in most areas, HxL had seen a major rise in February however this dropped a bit in March, the forum took a huge hit in March also in comparison to the first two months of the year - we were quite worried, I know myself & Matt actually got to the stage where we really didn't know what to do, we knew v6 would possibly improve things however this was scheduled to be released only this week.
Then, the downtime happened. This was again was a really worrying time, to remove our services from users for almost a week was going to take a toll on the large amount of users we have who float around fansites, a really hard hit to HabboxLive. Fortunately all you forum addicts couldn't wait to get back on and the downtime actually benefitted the forum and in the two days we came back before v6 we achieved a phenomenal amount of posts per day - that just goes to show how many of us are addicted :P.
Then V6 was released and everything has started going up up up, I'm not going to attribute everything to V6 as managers have been working phenomenally hard, what made me laugh the other day is Mathew came to me and said "**** there's only two events it looks so bad on the homepage, need to sort that" - and let's face it the events timetable on Habbox.com always looks impressive nowadays. I think Habbox.com will now bring a lot more new people to Habbox, especially through our subscription system for Job Apps - already a large amount of users have submitted their email addresses for notifications when applications open.
Generally, we've got ourselves back on to the right tracks, Habbox.com is now something to be proud of rather than the awful v5 we tried to pretend didn't really exist as it was such an embarassment (with no offence to the creators of v5 :P). We still have a long way to go and someone said something about the summer - I really can't wait until the summer because Habbox is strong at the moment and we're only gonna go further in my opinion, we have so much planned for even the coming month that I can only see positive things.
Obviously things'll slow down for exam periods but this summer will be good for Habbox and I think we could be hitting records this summer, the highest ever amount of posts in a month was recorded in July 2008 - we could beat this, Jess was telling me the other day she thinks HabboxLive will break the record for longest amount of time the radio is on air for. xxMATTGxx and I are looking to set a special Habbox record soon so watch out for that one.
V6 makes things easier for everyone, users, staff, management and guests and at the moment and knowing what we have planned for v6 I think our limits are way above those of any other Habbo fansite. This is a time to be proud to be part of Habbox and it really is only gonna get better. Well done to all :)

I'm too lazy/tired to read replies but I agree Richie. The site is definitely back on the up and as long as standards stay high I can see a revival of what Habbox was when I was a mere listener. :)
