I'm new - mining blurite

hey, i've just started runescape. I like mining it's fun =)

I'm in lumbridge, where can I mine blurite? what can I do once i mine it?
I'm lvl 17 mining and lvl 11 smithing.

Do you want to mine for xp? Or for the The Knight's sword?
If for Xp don't bother but it's in a dungeon south of Port Sarim.

It's the red question mark, just go south from Port Sarim.

No you don't - but if you were doing the quest you'd need blurite, it's the only reason people mine it.
I'd seriously recommend just sticking with tin and copper.

whats the next step up from copper? i'm not lvl 20 mining. it says i can mine silver. where do i find silver?
