I used to absolutely love wow, but near the end of wotlk i started to get really bored of the game.

I quit for a while, hoping that once cataclysm came out that i would get interested again. Unfortunately i don't think Cataclysm brought as many new things to the game as i hoped it would. I just don't really enjoy the game anymore and haven't even hit level 85 yet after all these months as a result of not playing. Theres still way too many simple collect X and kill X type quests.

Anybody else finding that the game's losing it's appeal now? Or are you still as addicted to it as you were during that first week of playing ;)

Lost intrest when LK came out, played untill 80 then quit again. I barely found it fun getting 80 either.

Because i started in july i couldnt get into icc and because i was farming more than dungeoning i couldnt get into heroics. if your ever interested in starting again (on wildhammer) give me a PM and i might too. i always wanted to make a druid

I keep wanting to go back to it but its the wrong time as everyones got the "best gear" so you have to start with the **** stuff now :L whilst everyone has it already

I loved it for ages, then took a break and then went back to it. Finally in june kinda realised that if i wanted to get good in my A levels id probably need to quit, and so i did. Went through the whole summer holidays without it and i havent looked back since then. I gotta say although its a great game and incredibly enjoyable, i think im having more fun without it.

Ugh I used to be addicted to WoW, not so much now. Like you I thought with the launch of Catalysm I'd get all excited but it didn't really do anything for me.

I had the same problem back a under a year ago or so with wotlk. I just changed to a new guild that suited the way and time i played and i eventually got to the "good stuff" even though i started gearing up much later than most.

The main problem I found was that I started a new job and started going out till like 10 at night so I had to have tea and then by the time i had a shower and that it was gone 11 so I had no time to play, but now i am unemployed it seems it doesn't appeal to me anymore :P

not necessarily, people burnout and don't find the game as appealing anymore. Just because you find the game "less interesting" doesn't mean LOLYOUCANTPLAYOURCLASS.

I'm still interested in it, it's just when a new patch comes out and you download it then you can't play because there isnt enough space =/

I occasionally burn out with WoW so I take a week off and play other games. Variety is key when playing games especially ones you play for hours on end for days/weeks/months/years.

I've tried the free version and I quite like it but I refuse to pay for it.. simply because I'm poor -.-
battle of the immortals kind of makes up for it..

If you like it then it's well worth the money per month for it. I hope i can find some fun again in it if i take another long break. Really though i think it's the end of wow for me anyway.
