Thousands of people march in London against the spending cuts... hours later it turns into riots, 202 arrests and 35 injured.
What do you think? Personally, I think this is partly due to Labour. They got us into this mess, conservative are picking up the pieces in the best way possible.

Gordon Brown's fault tbh.
I HATE it when people blame the banks. They had NOTHING to do with the NATIONAL DEBT. The national debt is there because Labour borrowed so much money in order to pay for services to keep the voters happy. Then that caused a downturn in the economy, and at the same time the banks crashed - but that doesn't change the fact that we've had this debt for years, way before the banking crisis.
And why do I blame Gordon Brown? Well, he was Chancellor from 1997-2007, then Prime Minister 2007-2010. Considering he came into office with no national debt whatsoever, a reasonably prosperous society and nothing much wrong with the national economic stability, it seems only logical to me to blame him because he was always in charge of the money.
I think the people who campaign against it are naive and moronic because they haven't looked at the facts and statistics. They are just upset because their benefits have been cut.
I'm partly blaming Gordon Brown, the other half Labour. France were in debt too, there are now out of this. Germany were in debt, they are now out of this too. Why? They focus on getting the money back and building a stornger economy. Why are we not out of it? Labour kept keeping it to the back of their mind, not focusing 100% on it and lending money to keep people sweet.
The conservatives are now picking up the pieces, making cuts (that labour would have to have made anyway) and now everyone hates conservative? That is wrong. These protests are perfectly fine but, when violence starts i disagree completely. All the money we are trying to get back into the economy is just going to be wasted on cleaning up the streets, treating the injured and giving money to businesses who need it because of the violence and damage. This could have been avoided....

The debt was caused by Labour, a small portion by the banks which Labour should have allowed to collapse along with their debts;

I would also mention, the Conservatives supported the spending plans of Labour upto 2008.
