Anyone been watching Eastenders recently? I'm not quite sure whether the writers are trying to make us have sympathy for Ronnie because she's getting on everybodies nerves and it's just annoying.

Apparently her secret is going to be revealed soon so how do you think it will be revealed? I'm expecting something good and interesting because her just telling everybody in the Queen Vic would just be too boring.

Perhaps due to her recent behaviour, they will all think that the baby is Michael's and do a test and it will be his and then it'll all come out from there.

I'm not sure how it will all come out, but apparently the story comes to a close at the end of April.

I kinda go through a phase of loving/hating soaps and at the moment I hate Eastenders. I think they're dragging out this whole story with Ronnie and the baby way too long and I'm personally losing interest. Like you I really hope something big happens and it just isn't revealed over a pint in the Vic or something, so boring.

I personally think they've done this really well. They had all of the complaints etc and I think from then they've adapted it really well. Stuff like this could take years to come out and yes it is a soap so it probably wouldn't have been that long anyway. I personally think that it would have been better if they had have dragged out the whole Whitney thing out for a little longer than a week sort of like what they're doing now with the same story line or even something else to give us time to forget about Ronnie then to come back to her and then have the climax to a then long story line which we'd sort have forgotten about because it's been in our hears for over three months now.

Although I think this story line is good I think it is wrong for it to be put on Ronnie. She was abused, forced to give her child up for adoption, her daughter found her 18 years later, she knew it was her daughter for about 3 minutes before she died, her sister and cousin both had affairs / relations with her now husband, she lost her new born baby, and then on top of that all as if that + more wasn't enough in about 2 years she swapped her baby which was just taking it too far in my opinion.

Also I do think that people forget that this is meant to be a real life like soap opera and not some kind of action movie. It's meant to be, as much as possible true to life and most normal streets / areas / villages wouldn't have this much drama, ever.

Ronnie is going to run away, unless that's what she did on the end of yesterday's episode. But it is dragging on now it's getting boring!

She confesses next week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!

The most controversial 'Enders storyline ever (TM) enters the home stretch this week as Ronnie finally decides to tell Kat the truth about her baby.

But that's not before an eventful wedding that leaves two residents seriously injured.

Tanya is the blushing bride who decides to go through with her wedding to Greg despite having second thoughts following a heart-to-heart with her ex Max.

With the wedding underway, fate intervenes (in that way it often does in soap nuptials) and Max and Abi are involved in a horrific car accident that sees them both rushed to hospital.

When Tanya hears the news, it confirms her feelings for Max and she rushes to the hospital with wedding guests in tow including Ronnie.

And while at the hospital, Ronnie passes the maternity ward where her son was born and tells Jack the shocking truth.

Then she heads off to the Queen Vic...

Also this week, Phil and Ian circle as the Masoods face financial ruin and it's handbags at dawn for Pat and Lydia

The problem is in real life people's life's can be quite boring at times.

The problem with soaps is they have to keep people interested. In other words its rare to see a happy couple stay happy. Now I know that couples in real life, most of them, often have arguments, but not everyone is a cheater and so on. But obviously this would be boring for a soap.

I don't watch soaps, although I used to watch coronation street. The problem for me is that let's say your watching Doctor who, you wan't to learn more about what's going on all the time. While as soaps often drag it out and put things to one side for a while. It can sometimes take years for the truth to finally come out and by then no one's interested.

I have stopped watching but Tanya getting back with Max are you serious? he wanted to run away with stacey just a while ago because he loved her. They should never have been brought back together AGAIN. Also this Ronnie story line was like a shocker in concept but it's just become boring every day with Ronnie having a little hissy fit over someone holding her baby or something. Probably why i stopped watchign because i stopped caring.

So what do people think about the Tanya & Max storyline now? Also now the baby storyline is finally over, what do people think? Bit of an anti-climax if you ask me!! Interested to see the aftermath but it cant be much.

I think they've really gone downhill tbh, what with trying to fit 4 dramatic things in in a week, the ceiling at the restaurant, the crash, tanya & max and now this... really such an anticlimax since the Ronnie storyline started at bloody christmas

I'm glad the baby storyline is over, it annoyed me that it went on for so long. Kat won't be able to handle that the babies hers for a while I think. I hope Max and Tanya get back together, they're just MEANT TO BE.

Really glad that story line is over i used to like ronnie but to have her like that for so long was just getting boring to the extent i stopped wathing and watched the omnibus this week to get back into it now that had finished. Sort of glad to see max and tanya back together-ish because i don't like greg (too soft) or V (just don't like her) so will be nice to see that unfold. One question why is sherly back with phil LOL!

i don't think it will. as an actress, i've studied character development as a process and also casting procedure. i think greg has been cast as a basic male character, who is pretty likeable. he'll probably leave in unexciting manner, accept tanya and max with dignity and life will go on. he hasn't really made a mark in the soap at all.

Well it's all over now and I'm looking forward to today's episode as it is the aftermath and the transition of the parents. As they advertise it, it should be good.
