I was in boots by the first aid section because I'm a nerd for that kind of stuff and the ''Sex'' section is next too it and I saw a few girls looking at condoms and I didn't want to make it obvious that I was watching them but I saw that 2 out of the 5 bought the cheapest pack of condoms and it got me thinking would I buy the cheapest or the dearest and frankly I would go for the dearest what would/do you go for?

just go to brooke/get a C-Card then you get the good quality ones for free.
doesn't really matter on price imo, as long as it has the quality mark and isn't like "TESCO OWN!" or something then its fine for meeeeee

i usually get the cheaper ones - it isn't to stop pregnancy in my case though, sooo...

Its like a few pound difference so wouldn't risk it. I have tried some more cheaper ones and they don't fit really, oh and lube stinks.

Not exactly true. I've had my fair share of cheap ones bust and break (some before they even got used! lol) but yes some MIGHT say you're just paying for the brand name but you have to remember "You get what you pay for". I'd rather spend the extra couple bucks and go with something that is well known and a big name rather than something never heard of and have an unexpected surprise 9 months down the road.

It's like buying helmets, you can pick one up for £150 or you can buy one for £2000+ by law, they have to be to a certain standard, the more expensive ones you'll be paying for the brand/logo/design. Yet both of them are exactly the same in terms of strength.

Same can be said about condoms... Depending where you get them from.
If you get them from a local health organization, then they will be of a certain standard, you can then buy the same ones that you get from your local health organization and they could cost you twice as much just because they are ribbed and what not.

Bottom line is that you do get what you pay for.. Some condoms are cheap and I admit some of those cheap ones are crap, but you can and do get some condoms that are cheap and are just as good as the more expensive ones

Its not just the quality of the material thats better but when you start using different types like i said you will notice the cheaper ones dont fit as well, the lube isn't horrid and they do break easily. Like it has been said, there is a set standard but the more expensive ones are safer and thicker.
You will notice the difference if you try them out.
Oh and about the 2k+ helmets, trust me the more expensive ones are alot more safer, they have more high tech saftey stuff. Cba to explain why. I mean you can pick up a legal bike helmet for £30 and it will break if you blow on it aha.

To be honest if you've ever brought condoms, they're insanely expensive for what they are. I'd deffo go with the cheap ones! Although I get mine free, and they're Durex!

but i've been in the situation where that's broken before and then I got the after pill and they gave us some other ones and one of those broke as well :/

condoms are sodding awful (unless yr having gay sex and beings as thats the only viable option to stay safe), girls if yr gonna have sex go on the pill/implant and get yrself checked on a regs.
