I've been looking for a suitable TV for my room for a while now, and i've narrowed it down to these two. I have a strict specification, but if it matches it, feel free to throw in your own ideas. :)

Around the £200 mark (budget)
5ms response time
1000:1 contrast ratio
5w speakers * 2 RMS (minimum! Need's to be good quality sound!)
Excellent viewing angle due to being titled
Good brightness per whatever levels
Widescreen, 23.6" > 26" LCD/LED preferably

The two i've narrowed it down to so far (but feel free to comment/add your own suggestions) are:

LG 26LD350 ~ £230
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B003HA8QHY/ref=s9_simh_gw_p23_d0_i2?pf_rd_m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_s=center-2&pf_rd_r=02HW68GKY9Z4M20PG34A&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=467128533&pf_rd_i=468294

Samsung LE26C450 ~ £240
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B003DNSJB8/ref=s9_simh_gw_p23_d0_i1?pf_rd_m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_s=center-2&pf_rd_r=02HW68GKY9Z4M20PG34A&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=467128533&pf_rd_i=468294

The Samsung is £10 more, but is it actually better? PLEASE don't just say it is simply because you prefer Samsung or whatever, actually judge them both on the two TVs here ^.

Thanks, and +rep to any help given! Which TV should I get? :)

I'd go with the Samsung LE26C450

It has better reviews and more of them, and for an extra £10 or so, I think it's worth it, and it also looks better than the other one which is a bonus too!

Although i love LG's I'd go with the Samsung LE26C450, by the looks of it, it has better ratings and that £10 more must be for something.

Out of the two options you've narrowed it down to I would certainly advise you to buy the Samsung. This is because I recently bought the same model (the only difference being it was the 32inch version) for my other half and the both the picture and sound are of really good quality.

Also when I was in store deliberating which one to buy I asked the in-store staff and he advised me they were currently the best value for money and have a good reliability record.

It is a shame you're so restricted in the size of your TV as you can buy the Samsung LE32C450 32-inch, for £15 more than the 26'' inch, which come to think of it is considerably less than I payed all of 2 months ago, haha.

I am looking just at the Technical Details of both of these and the Samsung looks alot better then the LG, although I prefer the LG Brand, and they are now both £10 cheaper then you have stated.

HOLY CRAP IT'S JUST BEEN REDUCED LOL. This is likeeee perfect timing, and a sign!

Thanks for your help guys, you have actually all helped a lot (and Rocky, i'm glad you have had first hand experience with the Samsung one, and it's a shame I can't get the 32", but it simply won't fit in my room!) :(

Thanks again guys, +REP to all! Feel free to offer futher advice, I won't be buying until tonight. :)

EDIT: Hmm, it's a different seller, not sold by Amazon themselves (but you can still choose them for £20 more...) :(

Got delivered earlier today... VERY pleased with the delivery, considering it was free, and it's a big package!

I'll give you updates/my review later on. :)
