Why exclude?

Surely if your asking what people prefer it should be based on what they like. That's like asking someone name your favourite artist, but it can't be this or that lol

I'm mixed. There's some decent stuff out today, but a lot of my favourite films and directors e.g. John Carpenter, Dario Argento, Alfred Hitchcock, are old. Hitchcock sadly isn't with us but is often seen as one of the best directors of all time and the other two where great in their time but sadly seem to have lost their touch.

I think a lot of films today seem to rely too much on CGI. There's also too many 3D Films at the moment, myself finding 3D a gimmick, and something that's just there to get more money. I'm a big horror fan and I find with today's horror films their's far too much gore and not really anything else. I mean look at the original 1978 Halloween, a favourite of mine and a cult today, the film uses hardly any blood at all.

Exclude because there are remakes of the black and white films. Nothing much about it but they just add some colour in it.

I like old movies. I love Dolly Parton and my favourite directors were Steven Spielberg and many more.

When it comes to today's films, nah. I don't seem to love it because there's no originality in it except for a few movies.

I agree when you say 1978 Halloween doesn't need any blood to terrify the movie-watchers. Like I said, movies nowadays are more materialistic and it lost its originality. I hate Twilight btw.

You only need to take a look at what Hollywood is churning out today in comparison to 20 years ago to see how far down in quality movies showing at the multiplexs have become.
