Watched this yesterday and I am so tempted to give Battlefield a shot. I played the Bad Company2 beta and was really good, didn't end up buying it though. I have been really disappointed with the last 2 CoD series and really want to give this game a shot.

I found the only thing i didn't like about bad company 2 during the beta was it sorta felt heavy when moving about if you know what i mean? i guess it made it a bit more realistic but i just couldn't play it it cause i was so used to cod but like you said the last 2 cods have been quite a let down so i'll give battlefield a go.

Looking like a really promising game.

I played the entire BFBC2 storymode and was impressed - a nice change from COD. WIll get EITHER this or the next COD

Well, I'm not buying this LOOKS WELL CRAP. Jk, but both of my brothers are buying it so I'll just use theirs as they'll hardly be in and just buy one of those online passes. The jets look ******* awesome. Only hating on the 24 people for consoles, although it's still quite a lot I'm sure I smell some bull crap when they say 64 players can't be done on consoles considering like resistance 2 and MAG, although MAG has quite bad graphics I'm sure they could have pushed BF3 on PS3 to 32. Oh well, it'll still be a brilliant game. I do wonder how COD will look in comparison, both graphics and generally gameplay.

The console version won't look anywhere near as good as the video.

I just hope it's a true successor to BF2.

There is a slight difference between a map pack on Black OPS and an entirely new game with a full story mode etc though.

Yeah, the map pack costs more.

I've never got into Battlefield probably as I'm more into mission based games e.g. do this, then do that etc instead of just running back and forward protecting areas

Can't wait, been waiting for this for ages, Battlefield is way better than CoD now.

And Stephen I'm sure they wont look much different to be honest, I've seen very few PC games that look that much better than console games, sure PC can handle better graphics but it's still going to look pretty much identical, about the only thing the PC version has over the console version is that for some reason DICE are idiots and decided to give consoles a mere 24 player compared to the 64 the PC gets.

DICE gave consoles 24 players because the new engine would simply not run 64 players on consoles.

The physics are now real-time and not pre-calculated (like destroying a building in BC2).

Fortunately for me, I buy all my FPS games on PC - I far prefer using a mouse for FPS games. WIll play Battlefield 3 on my PC, so will get to get the 64 people online at a time bonus :P

Unless Activi$ion implements dedicated servers for COD, I very much doubt it'll beat Battlefield 3 for time in my xbox

I prefer the PC for FPS games but my computer isn't very good so to get the best possibly experience my only option is console really, Brink is coming out soon, I really want the PC version because I feel that will be way better than the console version but ti would not run well for me.
