Buy now or wait 'till September.

I'd wait, an ipod isn't something you'd urgently need I wouldn't think and as soon as a new one comes out it's almost guaranteed to have something that will leave the previous gen out of.
No one will ever get the right apple product at the right time imo. I can't see many amazing new features for the new iPod touch so it depends how desperate you are at getting an iPod :)

The next generation iPod Touch will most likely be released in September, although I wouldn't expect it to have much more as the 3gen-4gen update was fairly significant. I have the current generation iPod Touch atm and it's great :D.

Basically, get one now and be with the game, or get a new one on release and be techy fresher than your mates for a short while and fresh for longer ;P (IMO thats all apple products are for anyway).

I'm not expecting anyone to know, but does anyone know what other features will be coming to the 5th Generation, because I can't think of what they can put on it to improve the 4th?

5 months is a long time to wait just to have a device which will only be slightly improved.
Waiting for technology is a waste of time, period.

I wouldn't wait the summer off for an mp3 player.
I would buy a new one now, maybe with ocean insurance ;)

Megapixels on the camera, size [gb], size [how thin], upgraded processor, etc.
:D
I'd go with waiting, if you want something to listen to music then go and buy a cheep mp3 player to keep you busy till september :) the next line of ipods/iphones will have to keep up with samsung etc. Who now have a duel core CPU and are the thinnest smartphone :)

If thats the main upgrades on the 5th Generation then I'm not waiting and the 4th generation camera is fantastic anyway, the thickness really doesn't bother me, and the upgraded processor well idk.
Thanks guys this has helped just need to get a bit more money and I'll probably get the 4th Gen! +rep to all

I think the next one is being released soon, but it depends if you can wait a few months for another, if not then you will have to buy the old gen and maybe get it updated?

Plus, you'd probably like a iPod for the summer, to listen to music whilst sunbathing or doing whatever you do on a beach :) I'd say get a iPod now but keep it all sync'd with all the latest updates!

1. Buy a camera.
2. 32GB is a lot of space.
3. Not anything major.
4. It ain't gonna be slow the current gen :P
The current one is adequate enough, the new one will just be a waste of waiting time for what could only be minor updates :P

and the 4th generation camera is fantastic anyway
The HD Video Recording is fantastic but the camera isn't as good for stills. (I'm talking about the rear-camera btw).
