Title says it all would you pay $2,668 even if they were headphones that promises to give you concert hall sound? I certainly wouldn't but would you if you had the money? take a look at this

CRAZY!

I'd be lucky to pay £15 for a pair of headphones.
In fact I think even £15 is a rip off. So I wouldn't even dream about buying heading for that much, even if I was a billionaire! I'd still spend my money wisely, yeah, I'd splash out on various things, but those things would be things I need, such as a car, house etc.. Not headphones lol.

That is silly money, I bet it cost them more than half that to make them

If I had money to throw away, and they looked better I would.

Nope these types of headphones break easily and i'm more of an earmuff headphone person.

I really doubt the difference between £40 and £2000 is miniscule

I wouldn't buy them if I had money to throw away. What a stupid price, and "concert hall quality" means sod all :S What if you don't like the ambience and sounds of a concert hall? By saying that, you're hinting they produce the same sound you hear in a concert hall, which is somewhat echoey and unclear :/

nope... i'd rather get a new computer or something lol

Heh, to all that said they would, enjoy your complete waste of money, mediocre sound at an outrageous price tag. In-ear headphones will never produce good enough sound for hardcore listening.

That would effect your money though.

I was just pointing out with large amounts of moeny (heck even a fair few million) it wouldn't effect you at all

I've never got the point of in-ear headphones, they don't really do a good enough job and are pretty rank to wear, with the wax that inevitably comes out. I only wear the ones that sit just inside the ear. Obviously the ones usually associated with DJs (headsets?) are the best when it comes to any sound - bass, clarity etc. $2,000+ for headphones that cost $1 to make seem rediculous, I can't see how the sound will be amazing and calling it "concert hall" sound makes no sense as concert halls aren't usually the best way to describe the best quality of sound :P

Mine cost around £20 and are decent and comfortable. If you want decent sound just use speakers.

Yes, of course. You would be foolish to miss the opportunity - with $2,668 you could not possibly purchase anything more worthy!

I'd rather burn the money as a form of energy... Would be a better use :). Can't see how buying these rather uncomfortable looking headphones could be worth the price of some cars :L.

they are a HUUUGE waste of money, the quality is average at best and the price is about 50% higher than it is worth.

bought a pair off hmv a few days ago and can't wait for em to be delivered. don't care if they're overpriced, waste of money, better ones out there (blahblah) because it ain't like i'm poor and i've got the moolah.

i wouldn't buy those headphones tho as i'm fed up with in-ear headphones as they always break and don't rly last long (for me anyway). if they were on-ear headphones then hey if i had the money to burn then why not

If they could make Ke$ha sound like an angel massaging my ear drums, that'll justify the price. Until then...

headphones that promises to give you concert hall sound
Surely you'd lose all hearing if that was the case..

and no I wouldn't, unless they had some real gold/rubies imprinted all over them.

You obviously don't care about listening to music then, and want them purely as a fashion piece :)

Not possible, you buy beats for fashion, not for musical quality (which they are not good at).

Indeed, Agnostic Bear is correct. These (http://bit.ly/pcJ03) molest the beats for a decent amount.

i bought the beats headphones because 1. they look good and 2. they're working headphones. whether there are superior headphones out there is completely irrelevant because i wanted the headphones to suit the purposes i mentioned above. i bought my iphone because 1. it looks good and 2. it's a working smartphone. i bought my macbook because 1. it looks good and 2. it's a working laptop. i've got my emporio armani watch because 1. it looks good and 2. it's a working watch. now a gold star to whoever can see the trend.

obviously there are headphones/phones/laptops/watches which are better than what i decide to buy, but guess what? i don't care as it's my money. ~i'm a slave for trends~ and i don't like the headphones you posted anyway...

Can't see why you can say he is purely buying them to look good - face it, pretty much everyone wil do that sometime in their life. If he has the dough for that leave him be? I find Dre and insparation so in the near future, I will buy some too. They have been said to be good quality too - aside from looking good.

So you don't care about music you care about having noise to drown out everything else? Because that's pretty much all beats do.

i'll judge the headphones when i get em lol. at that point i'll obvs decide whether it's fine or whether you're right. but anyway it seems like this threads been derailed too much so yeah.

Nope. I paid £250 for Dr Dre Monster Beats. Looking back now I question myself why I bought them... The sound quality are superb but the price...

Those earphones in the OP imo will be used mostly by singers/footballers or just celebrities in general. I don't know anyone who would spend so much on some earphones.

I suggest buying a pair of headphones that are actually superb, such as the Audio-Technica ATH-A[D]700, they are truly superb and are crisp as hell.

Of course, you'll need a soundcard or device that does them justice, not an iPod... those things pump out crap like the world's ending.

The AD700s should sound ok on an iPod, the A700s wont though (The AD700s only have an impedance of 32 ohms)

iPod sounds better than most portable players.

That's what the portable headphone amp is for.

Unfortunately other MP3 player manufacturers seem to be dumbing down their sound quality these days. I remember when Sony and Creative made devices that had perfect sound quality, but lately it's become safe to say any portable device is useless at producing decent sound quality. That said, Creative still have their X-Fi emulators(?) on their MP3 players, but they're not that good for battery life and after a while they get fed up of all the hard work and decide to reduce the volume :P

Speaking of the old days, do iPods still have that game where it plays a random section of a song and you have to guess what song it is?
