I know I'm walking on a tight rope as I have been naughty when posting about scamming so I hope this is ok.

Basically, when someone scams, they can just keep banning you, and also they can just ask to remove scam rooms. So what's stopping everyone from scamming?

This is just a general debate question. If you are effectively invincible from scam rooms etc, then what is stopping you :s

Opinions?

Well this is the age old question and all you can do is report scamming and bet at your own risk. I would say that effectively because it doesn't seem to be enforced consistently there is not much stopping you although it is against the Habbo Way and you do run the risk of being banned so not really worth it IMO.

But if you had a clone, you could just do scams on that to be on the safe side. If it's against the Habbo Way, in what way does Habbo enforce it and what's the point of the call for help saying "Someone" scammed me :S I don't see the point of it then.

Omdz, I'm making decent points here, I should join in on the HxF Debates -giggle.

I agree with you Will. I am not sure if Habbo can trace 'clones' to the real person but I imagine the 'clone' will trade the furni to it.

Yeh I guess so but I see scammers still playing habbo and they don't get banned. I have never seen a scammer get banned so I don't think Habbo are strict on it.

Btw, this sounds like I'm gonna scam LOL but I'm not, I'm just saying how Habbo don't do anything when it comes to breaking their own rules :l

Well some do get banned - I know that but they just make another account and start all over again, unfortunately :(

Habbo fails at enforcing rules, they just have auto-replies to each scenario. You just get the same response and scammers just continue and get away with it :l

Habbo "say" that they will Ip ban repeat offending scammers. Although i doubt they do and anyway (as with people who get ip banned on forums) there are many ways to come back on . I agree that habbo don't do very much to stop scammers and it's a shame that young gullible and innocent kids have to be subject to constant scam attacks.

They probably don't really want to get rid of all the scammers anyway. They generate a lot of revenue for sulake.

Agreed. I think it will just have to be part of Habbo, annoying that it's really hard to tell when someone is safe or not :l
