Not being funny but I HATE IT I hate when ******* chavs ask to play on your phone, when people ask to borrow your jumper.

I've been volunteered by my mum to ******* lend my CAMERA to my great grandad for TWO MONTHS I'm actually fuming. If it so much comes back as broke or lost he is buying me a camera of my choice.

I don't ask to borrow things either. I always get asked to let someone on my BlackBerry on Facebook, I've always said no and made excuses.

Yes I do. I bought my dad a satnav a couple of years ago and everyone seems to want to borrow it and it really annoys me how they just casually ask n sometimes don't bother bringing it back, my dad goes n gets it. I know it's not mine put I paid for it so yeah.

No because i generally make myself clear, something happens to it, their replacing it, and if i dont trust someone they dont get it in the first place,

I just say no if it is someone who I don't know/like or trust.
However what annoys me is when I give (my phone for example) to a friend, and then they start playing a game, a crowd forms around him and my phone as he is playing.. someone whom I don't like asks if he can play, and my "friend" gives it straight to him without even asking me first.

That is what annoys me!
In the rare event that I do ask to borrow someones possessions, if then someone asks me "for a go" I either say go and ask "NAME HERE" or I ask them myself if they can have a go before I even think about giving it away!
I also don't make excuses... I tell them straight.

I remember once when I was at school many moons ago, someone who I didn't like asked if they could play snake on my phone (Yes I had a Nokia 3310) - I said no.. They questioned me with "why not?" so I told them straight with "because I don't like you nor do I trust you, I think your a complete *censored* and if you think I'm letting you have my phone then you can think again" Which evidently lead to us exchanging fists.. Well I say "exchanging" I think he only hit me twice, though I can't be sure if he was hitting me or touching me.

I don't mind lending things to friends and relatives, so long as they look after whatever it is and return it in due time. I hate it when people lend things on my behalf and without my permission, however.

I don't like lending stuff to my siblings because they return it damaged or something and it's annoying :@

I don't really mind if people somehow lend my stuff out to other, provided I know them and can trust them. I don't mind people borrowig my stuff either, but I won't let people on my phone or computer unless I trust them. They might find my stash of gentleman's literature.

I don't mind at all, infact often I suggest it - one friend owes me around £57 at the moment, another £7 and his girlfriend the same.

Nope I hate it lol. People never lend me things anyway. It's different with phones, letting each other on them etc but items - no way.

I very occasionally lend clothes to my friends but they give the stuff back so it's ok. I don't mind lending small sums of money to friends either, like 20 quid here, 10 quid there as long as they give it back and my friends are generally fine with paying back money.

I don't mind lending things to my friends but I don't lend things to people I don't like or know that much about.

I'd never let someone lend my camera for two months :S What the **** is he doing lending it for that long, making a Calendar Girls 2.0?

I lend people money all the time, it's really the only thing people ever want to lend off me.

I dont mind lending if I know and trust them, but if someone else passes is on to someone I dont trust then that really annoys me.

This really. Sometimes I do offer things to my close friends.

Also this. Possessions mean more to me than money :/ Especially at my school, money is usually evened out if it's leant, not given back as such something else is bought for the person, it usually involves food, booze or *** if I'm honest :/

It depends what they're asking to lend.

Things like games and dvds I wont lend out, I'v kept mine scratch free for so long :P People always ask to borrow my head phones and they're one thing I will never lend out because I don't want them in other peoples ears :P

I let people use my phone to make calls, aslong as they're not on it for ages xD

I don't lend anything out long term. If they borrow something, I want it back the same day.

LMAO i missed you liam.
and It depends who it is for me. I really don't mind lending things/money to my friends but its a different story if its my sister, we don't lend anything to each other so it just ends up a stealing match.

I don't let anyone use or borrow my things unless I know I can trust them haha. Done it so many times and end up regretting it. I used to lend out so many DVDs for example (I'm a boxset nerd for EVERYTHING) and the boxes would come back damaged, the discs would be scratched and it'd break my little heart.

I hate it when people ask though cos I feel horrible saying no...

Generally, I don't mind people borrowing my things as I'd like to think that if I ever needed something from someone else, they'd let me use it. As long as I get whatever it is back in a clan and working order. My only exception to this is plates, mugs, bowls, pans etc. I've found that in my uni accommodation, people borrowed these things and never cleaned them so they aren't to touch them any more.

If I trust them and know them well then I don't mind lending them things but I don't think I could ever lend out something such as my camera like that. I have a bad habit of lending out books though and then forgetting to ask for them back and then getting them returned to me like 6 months later :P

I hate it when people borrow my stuff though and lend it to other people without asking me, that's just annoying and rude.

Last Summer I was making tons of videos then my mum decided to tell my uncle he could borrow my camera for taking pictures of fish.

Money: never. Gadgets: never.

I generally trust no one - 'HAHA WHO DO YOU FANCY' 'none of your business'.

It depends on the person.

My friend used to annoy me as he used to always want to lend DVD's and it's not that I didn't get them back, it's the fact that after all the time he had them he'd hand them back and say he never had time to watch them.

Same friend also would hate me going near his phone but used to think he could do whatever he wanted with mine.

Some people I won't lend stuff to as I'll know I'll never see it again.

I don't normally mind. I just don't like lending my sister things because I rarely get it back >.>

I can't stand lending stuff out, unless it#s a neccessity for a night out or something, e.g. if a mate needs a polo or something. About a month ago now my mate went to Jamaica and asked if he could borrow my iPod for the flight, I said something like ah ask me closer to the time, and when he asked just ignored him over bbm, he's never mentioned anything about it since lol.

No. Nobody looks after their stuff to the same standard that I do so it's always going to come back in a worse condition.

I've only ever lent money because I know my friends and family will pay it back but I hate people borrowing gadgets of mine because they always ruin it somehow.

Nope I don't mind, but I get annoyed when they take way too long to return it though. I once let a girl borrow some DVDs and I didn't get them back until 3 years later sigh.

Depends what it is. Nothing annoys me more than if I lend something to someone and it comes back in very poor condition.

Well I don't think this situation has ever happened to me, or not that I can recall of at the moment. But I probably wouldn't like it. I like to have the impression that I have control over my possessions.
I may have allowed people to borrow possessions that I am borrowing myself by accident, but usually it's small things such as stationary.
