View Full Version : New Posts
It is really hard to get used to. I tend to browse threads before posting but then when you go back to new posts the threads have disappeared. You don't have any link on the site to today's posts so just wondering what the link is so I can use that instead or even better add todays post to the layout?

Interesting, what we have our new posts search function set up to do is to show new posts you haven't read, it used to be different but I'm not sure whether it's no longer a function on the new version of vbulletin.
yea. I think here and tryhabboforum are the only places to have this method. I really can't get used to it though but using today's posts works grand :}
I love new posts dont ya dare take that away.
But what i do is just open everything somewhat interesting in a new tab and then go through them but just dont close them, then if i wanna reply i can
the other way is so much easier tho and you wouldn't have to go to the bother of opening a ton of tabs but anyway I wouldn't expect you to change the system your on, which is why im suggesting adding today's posts as well as new posts.

Surely thats going to crash your browser every so often LMAO
What I do is not use it, this is the only site were I've never been able to use new posts, I don't know if its because of the kind of section preference I have or because it'll be spammed with topics I dislike too, but I've just never used it here.
All I do is remember where I've posted and scroll there. Tends to be graphics, tv or general.

Surely most new posts are from today..
If you click a thread but don't post in it why does it matter that it's no longer on the list after that? Surely if you had something you wanted to post in it you would have done
because I generally browse threads and then go back to post on them after and now i gotta go to each individual section to find it again.

LOL well, I agree with Kirst
At least add a link on one of the themes.
The problem wiht new posts is that it doesn't always seem to pick up when somebody has posted. I also like to see the threads I have posted in.

Want to see what threads you have posted in? http://www.habboxforum.com/search.php?do=finduser&userid=88085&starteronly=1&contenttype=vBForum_Thread
Go onto your profile and then click: Find latest started threads.
In regards of new posts, what's wrong with: http://www.habboxforum.com/search.php?do=getnew&contenttype=vBForum_Post

Didn't mean that, but thanks anyway ;)
and in regards to new posts, the thread disappears from that list as soon as you click it, like Kirst has said, what if you don't want to post straight away. I find it more comfortable I guess, for the thread to stay there when you do click it, as I know I won't have to go searching the forum for that thread, if I wanted to post again/find somehting.

I gave you the wrong link, http://www.habboxforum.com/search.php?searchid=476810 that should show you what threads you have posted in. Well shows you the posts and so on.
Well I can see what you mean but it isn't hard to see which threads you haven't posted in to be honest. I'm also not sure if there is any real point in trying to make changes to the built in feature or not.
Its just an annoyance to have the threads you look at disappear because I browse a few threads before posting and when I do post, I like to check back on the thread and see whose viewing. All of which you can't do because of the new posts settings on here. Its ok anyway, I added a bookmark for today's post to my lappy ages ago so I just click that now instead.

Don't know *** to edit my post because I'm on mobile bit also just like to say it isn't really hard to add a today's post to one skin. Tryhabb had it and even had the ability for users who didn't want today's post, to disable it through ucercp.

Surely if there's a thread that's interesting enough for you to want to post in you'll just remember it
