Orange maintenance help!

Right, They emailed me the other day to say i had planned maintenance on my line soon (happened at 11:54 till 12:25) and my speed has gone from 16mb to 8mb.

I can't access my emails as they're on a different computer but. Do you think this was what the maintenance was for?
