Hey guys,
In case you didn't know Simon (Invent!) and I own a web app called Interstate and we have recently (last few days) been funded by a well-known seed fund based in the US.
Because of this we are now starting to look for potential employees based in the US (the closer you are to San Francisco/Mountain View the better). We are currently looking for the following:
iOS/Objective-C developer
PHP developer
UI Designer
We likely won't be hiring anyone within the next 3 months but we would like to start talking to those who are interested now so that when the time comes when we start to hire people, we already know who to offer jobs to.
We've chosen to advertise these positions on HabboxForum even though they are full-time jobs because we know there is a lot of young talent on these forums and we ourselves used them a lot when we first began in web development.
We do not have any qualification requirements, we simply require that you are over 16 years of age (this may change to 18 in the future, I'm not sure) and are willing to relocate to the Bay Area (Mountain View most likely).
Not a US resident? We can offer you an internship however it will be your responsibility to organise any Visa requirements and also pay for the flights to San Francisco. You will not recieve payment however you will have full access to our fridge, can stay at our house and we will pay your way if we go out for a meal or to an event of sorts which means you shouldn't need any money to survive. We won't cover personal purchases (clothes, extra food, travel, etc). You have to be able to spend a minimum of 30 days in the US for us to consider you for an internship, if you are still in education then it is best to apply for summer break.
If you're interested in applying for a job/internship please send us your application to jobs[at]bakedcode.com. Your application must include your name, age, location and previous experience/work samples. Anything more than that is optional, but the more information/experience you can provide us with the better, generally.
We will only discuss potential wages to those who are offered jobs or those we have extended conversations with.
Looking forward to hearing from you all :)
