Around 5 minutes ago, I was in the garden gardening and then I heard this loud sound, I looked up and guess what it was? A WW2-WW1 Lancaster! Lowestoft doesnt get things like this often, WHY WAS IT HERE? O; It was really low...

Pictures were taken on ma Ipod.

Hmm well there's only one operational Lancaster in Britain (another in Canada and that's it) and it's part of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight but according to the timetable today it shouldn't really be flying near Lowestoft;

None of the places it's flying to are particularly near Lowestoft.

Probably a planned route so the timings are perfect, the further away then the more time there is to adjust speed etc (if you're running late go faster kind of speed)

There is one from Duxford which is often used for Demo's. And it's not part of the memorial flight.
