I was on my room chilling and this guy comes in asking for my email to chat on msn... I don't care I gave it and couple of mins later he asks me what was the name of my first pet?... I smell something fishy I said... They go to hotmail.com put forgot password and put in ut answer for the sexret question. LUCKLY! I was smart enough to figure that out and i said a wrong name and he went like; that is not its another name... THEN HOW YOU KNOW ITS WRONG!?... I reported and he got banned :D please watch out they do that and they get access to everything u have signed up to that email!!

Email scams like this have been known for ages. I don't even use my msn for habbo, I use a different email :)

If I was you put an answer to your secret question that is totally unrelated to what was your first pet.

This has been going on for ages it's a shame that some people do still fall for it!

Yeah I once noticed this. I accused him of hacking then he said he wasn't a hacker then hacked me on Christmas Day. Good times.

Shame people still fall for it, but anyway good job you didn't answer the second question!

This scam is old and people should learn to just spot this and be careful.

I have my hotmail linked up to my mobile, so the only way to recover my password is via my mobile, as I have no security question set up at all for my hotmail account.

Also might want to go ahead and check to see if your alternative email is still in use (within the last 6 months) otherwise you could be a victim of the windows Hotmail Exploit

I use a different email for Habbo so there's pretty much no point hacking my email - a good idea for all users IMO. Glad he got banned though!

Simple Hotmail Reverting.
Requires a brain.
Minor Social Engineering skills. (Which he obviously had none!)

This isn't even a Email Scam. It's just reverting. This is why you don't add random people, and get too indepth with em.

... Still scamming or hacking what ever you wanna call it besides new new people to habbo may not know this...
