HabboCentral.co.uk is currently under construction and will take some time till it is complete. it is just me working on the site design and code, yet i just wanted to get peoples opinions on it http://www.hffmforum.co.uk/images/smilies/Normal/6674.gif

I'm currently not looking for any staff or content designers, just peoples opinions.

Yet when V1 is completly finnished ill ask for anyone with good experience in coding to try and polish off any areas that i have missed. Main idea behind habbocentral will be interactivity. designed as life size habbo hotel where you can navigate through and explore inside and outside. there will be a lot of cool stuff to come i just need time.

im aware of many issues on the site. still have to design and implement the navigation buttons etc etc.

Sorry if its badly coded. Im not the best at coding but im learning :) Just thought id say before people start raging at me xD

intend on having java popup windows which will be similar designs as the ones within habbo. Still have alot of interactive hidden buttons to place into the reception and all of the rest of the rooms to come. Everything will be animated Gifs, including the lift. for time being ive just got them as roll over images so i can get the layout and some of the code sorted.

Would love some advice and feedback on anything!

Aye ik, it was a quick fix, generally everything has been, ive not had the time. Just wanted to try get a layout sorted asap and then have a rough idea and plus that updater page is tempory anyway. just while the site is under construction.

but yh ill go through everything when i can and make sure its all text and not images :)

When i have finnished completing the main layout of the site and finnished coding and designing the main rooms i hope to then move onto the outside areas, such as the cinema , infobus , garden / outside scenery.


I will be looking for highly talented and creative designers, who will work with me on our advertising and our content design projects. Which will involve extending and further expanding the interactive site. To allow users to explore further into the hotel and out side areas where each part they can enter will offer more interactive elements.

Such as the cinema:

youll be able to navigate through from the outside building of the cinema , move into the lobby where you'll be able to choose a video to watch, which will then take you to a cinema screen where you can watch habbo youtube videos.

( When site comes out of beta and is completed, we will keep featuring different videos involving habbo, habbocentral , competition winners for producing videos and other content ( Such as tutorials on how to create your own habbo videos within different software like flash , sony vegas , fireworks. Plus other tips. Which ill probably be producing my self))

Basement:

i dont wish to tell you too much about the ideas that we have for the basement of habbo because itll spoil peoples expectations and will ruin the storyline behind it. it'll be alot of work to design it from scratch so ill need help on it also. However i can say its been taken over by evil :p Not very original but itll offer something fun for people to explore and try find the hidden links and use some of our features that i hope to implement.

Our Archives:

Yet another outside area for users to navigate to. A warehouse/ Industrial work shop designed place. Where you can get to out image archives , furni archives and all the general habbo stuff that fansites have been offering for a long time.

Infobus :

Interactive habbo help desk. When it is completed we hope to have various examples of how habbos try to get your account details etc
ways to prevent it from happening and also loads of cool tips and other info.

We will keep improving the idea and keep updating the content that we offer on this page.


Theres still even more to do before were even at this stage of being able to design these features. However i just thought id tell you what to expect. It will take a long time but when its completed it should be cool. Probably people will think im dumb for telling you most of my ideas for the site before i have even finnished most of it, however i thought some might like to know :)

Theres alot to do! Lots to code and design. When applications are open for people to sign up to be apart of our design teams unfortuantly we will only accept the best applicants. Im sure most of you exceed what i'm able to do, but anyone who is accepted will be given as much suport as possible.

But yh, hopefully it'll work out.

Hope to have some feedback on what people think of the ideas i have for the site and if you have anymore ideas just say and ill try my best to implement them.

( In the next 2 weeks i wont be able to design or do anything important on the site. although when i'm able to i shall be taking down both the front updater page and the help tip page and redesigning them. Not very happy with them. Then ill continue getting the navigation buttons completed, because they're looking rather ******. )

People always say fansites look the same. hopefully this will change that.

Ok there are too many pages to get to the main 'outside hotel' it's pretty bad so far, its too big for my screen, I couldn't even see the advertisements part. It's pretty annoying. Try to fix all the bugs. Try the site on every browsers and fix them for each one. Good luck.

doing something different is always going to have its difficulties.I fully understand what your saying and when i get the chance and have the time to do so, i shall be taking the site down and putting it on maintenance. Then i shall begin working on the new designs and keeping some areas that i dont think are much of an issue but ill rectify many i know are.

i shall try look for a solution to the problem of the site not fitting to everyones screen resolution and much more. habbo client itself has the same problem, although they have the options to zoom out. ill look into having something similar.

main idea behind releasing habbocentral while in alpha was to allow people to see the designs and the idea behind it. which i think is rather different and clearly not what anyone is used to, because all fansites nowadays stick to the same format, which im trying to stray from and not everyone is going to like and i accept that fact. I probably shouldnt have shown habbocentral at such an early stage, due to the fact that there are so many issues not yet rectified. Although in such the short time that i had been working on the site i think its alright and doing something different.

but yh thanks for the comments, im aware of that and ill try and fix some of the issues you and I have with the site =)

you clearly havent seen inside the site or read any of my posts. sulake will do nothing, because it breaks no rule of having a site that resembles habbo hotel in looks, yet offers non of the services habbo Hotel provides... its purely a place for habbos to comment, interact and have fun (just like any other habbo fansite). Yet however, with this fansite it doesnt stick to your typical, generic habbo fansite design.
