Well all im gonna say is there isnt as many homophobic people around compared to what there was a while ago, but it still exists.
I normally think its down to lack of education or even influenced from close ones or relatives, i also think people are still in the mind-set of 'right and wrong' when it comes to sexual orientation.
What about you? What do you think causes Homophobic behaviour?
I'd say its because of religion and lack of education really.

Personally, I'm not always homophobic, hardly homophobic, but with certain people who flaunt being gay as if it's a fashion make me feel something about gay people.
I don't get these feelings from anyone apart from my own opinion. But with most it will be from parents/grandparents and/or religion.

I've never been homophobic towards someone, as I've never been put in the position to do so. However close friends have and I've always had a go at them for it. I put it down to lack of knowledge and education or just being plain pathetic.

Funny how many people also put it down to Education and Religion,
Ill generally agree with you also Jessica, sometimes im homophobic (im gay so i can be xoxo) to other Gays since one thing i hate is 'camp' often people who prance around like a fairy, theres no need for it and its genuinly disgraceful, and thats about the only time ill be homophobic.

The only times I see it are on television from religious people or in real life when in school where there's this one boy who is really out there and I think sort of draws attention to himself. People say homophobic things towards him quite often!
Tbh i dont think it has anything to do with education :/ Maybe some what religion but more so people who follow a religion closely and stick to everything about it.
Me myself i am homophobic sometimes as Aidenn and Jessicrawrr have already said, I dont like it when they act so over the top and flaunt being gay to everyone. It just annoys me and feels as if they think they should be treated as someone special because their gay... when usually they would prefere to just fit in ?? maybe im wrong on the fitting in but thats what i think :P
I LOVE camp men aha, just a side note aha
but no I think it's mainly situational, rather than educational
generally if you're bought up in a homophobic environment I think you'll pick it up yourself

I'm not against homosexuality, I just don't improve on it. But it wouldn't mean I'm homophobic because I'm not offensive towards homosexuals. I believe in freedom, and people can be or do what they want. A lot of my friends are gay, I wouldn't treat them different. Maybe if they go on about it then I'd tell them to shut the **** up... As I don't go around saying I like *****s... We really don't want to know that you like anal. It's not somethin you should or need to share, unless they ask, of course.
