Safari - saving favourites?

Decided to have a go at using Safari recently for a bit of a change but it's really starting to bug me already. On my browser I like to have all my favourites along the toolbar at the top, so I spent a good 10 minutes or so doing this on Safari today. However, when I closed Safari and started it back up again, it scrubbed the entire setting and put all of the pre-loaded favourites back onto the toolbar again! :@

Anyone have any idea of how to sort this? It's as if I need to click some sort of "save changes" button?

You don't have to press save or anything, they should just stick.

They do on mine.

Think it's just a harsh glitch. ;[
