20th birthday... plans?

My 20th birthday is coming up in about 3-4 weeks and i have no idea what i wanna do :l
too many people round here having just the same usual nights out going to the same bars/clubs that it gets boring.
doing it fancy dress wont work because not everyone will dressup (boring sods)
im not sure going for a meal would work because if i eat a decent amount i cant drink afterwards and neither can most people i know >_<
i just want something a little more original that will suit the majority of people.... nooo ideas at all! ugh

I don't think you have to have a massive party or go down to those clubs or whatsoever for ur birthday. I think the best way to celebrate it would be with your family members. Just have a mini party at house buy a birthday cake and have fun with them :) just an opinion

in the end i went for an italian meal with my closest friends... but now it all starts again for my 21st. i have until xmas at the latest to decide if im havin a 21st party lol

You may be joking, but we actually did this. Just for a laugh.

We booked the section of the restaurant, the balloons, clown, happy meals, etc for a "birthday party" but didn't mention that it was a 21st. About 15 of us turned up in full suits (shirt, tie, trou, the lot) and they didn't know what to do! I would recommend doing that, because it's ace :D
