it's awful on the xperia arc. I swear I've had the most amount of devices possible and it's nuts!
i had the bold 9700, the bold 9780, the torch, the xperia arc and now the LG optimus x2. I swear the optimus is the best out of them all! I might go back to BB Os when I get my playbook on the release date but genuinely, android is a bit buggy when it comes to apps.

Waiting for the release date as I don't believe they are out yet? Well in the UK anyway.

Oh, they're for sale here. My brother says the Staples he works at (electronics store) hasn't sold a single one. I wonder why that is.
On a side note, what's an app!?

off topic: the release date isn't even known by Blackberry UK (for announcement). I will get a playbook, not saying when though ;). the release date is supposedly June the 16th.
on topic: Gingerbread doesn't have a lot to offer tbh.

It has applications and a promise it's going to be here tomorrow. The UI looks nice on the Playbook. There are no applications for it.

Oh so the Playbook has 320,000 apps, my bad (oh wait that's Android). Why do you say I'm wrong because it is a very fair statement to say I wouldn't buy it because it doesn't have apps. I use KiK messenger and Grooveshark. It's bad enough on my iPad that I have to use iPhone variants of both these applications but I would never switch to a platform that didn't have either of these things at all.
Looking at how many applications Android has, and iOS, when it comes to the Playbook, there are no applications for it.

Quote me some numbers.
It's my understanding that it will run Android and BlackBerry OS Apps out of the box on launch, which is technically more than the iPad could do on launch.

You are focusing on how I say I wont buy it but don't care that I said in my other thread that I would in the future.
By the way not only do I know about the Android apps working on it but I brought this up weeks and weeks ago (http://www.habboxforum.com/showthread.php?t=698633).
I would not buy one, not now. There is poor application support and I don't know how well BBOS will last. Based on how the operating system and application quantity and quality compared to iOS and Android in the past these are genuine concerns. You moaned on to me about how useless the iPad was when Apple announced it, but guess what Tom you bought one months later. The market isn't the same one day to the next and things will change. I'm shocked that you don't agree with me on that.
Also, here's your numbers for Android http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Android_Market

I didn't see you had replied.
I bought one because it was pretty much the only thing available on the market at the time that didn't run Windows/Linux (both highly unusable on a tablet for now) but now, I think I would have gone for an Eee Pad Transformer, so don't try and use that excuse mister ;)

not read all the replies and I can't go into a lot of what i know but...
release date is one hundred percent, 16th of June for the UK. The Playbook will have 3k apps on the launch. As of autumn a lot of android dev's will be developing their apps to be optimised for BB/playbook :)
