I see Kfnx has posted a news article regarding 0rca's Visit to HxHD -> http://habbox.com/#/News/article/402.
Is there only me who finds some of the questions rather inappropriate? I know it might have been a joke, but there seems to be a lot of questions which end up mocking 0rca and I don't think that's the best route to go down when we should be encouraging staff visits. Hey ho, I wasn't there.
I do agree. Even in the help desk it was rather inappropriate, even I was a little silly. Although Habbo is about having fun and I felt like acting silly around 0rca rather amusing. It was funny to see Jake be like "see you at the harvester 0rca" :P
I did feel kind of bad for her though, some of the remarks that were made. I mean most were funny but some were just way over the top. It's a shame really because it went so well with Redtiz, I felt that went really well. It was just different today, I wouldn't say I dislike 0rca.. because I don't but I just couldn't relate her to the community of Habbo. She just acted a bit out of place, you can have fun and still be professional, as Redtiz proved.
It was very nice however to see that 0rca took the time out of her busy life to actually come and visit us. She's doing this voluntarily and deserves the world of credit. After all she doesn't have to waste her time. If we make her feel welcome - she's more likely to stay and improve our relations with Habbo :)

It's to be expected.
I'm now over the teenage years and can confirm when it comes to stupidity and being an arse it's of course what you do, you can't learn from embarrassment and idiomatic behaviour without doing so first.

I don't mind 0rca, I think her answers to the 30 questions were more than honest and weren't 'fluffed'.

I don't think my questions were inappropriate at all, if you wanted me to put every single question down that was asked then I am sure I would be fired!
It's only a little humour for some, which do you feel were deemed inappropriate?

Q: 0rca how will your sister respond to you posting on hxf that she needs to lose weight?
A: She will think its funny
Q: 0rca do you have Blubber like a Whale?
A: I do yeah
Q: 0rca do you support gay pride?
A: I have no issue at all with peoples sexuality no, unless they favour illegal activities
Q: 0rca have you ever tried to make a HC badge in real life?
A: No
Q: 0rca do you discuss habbo over the dinner table at family reunions?
A: No Pokemon
She doesn't have mates
She prefers Slimming World to Weight watchers
She can't run as she would cause an earthquake
She loves it when people scam in front of her face
---
I find those to be inappropriate. She's dedicated time to Habbox to answer questions yet all people can do is question her about weight and her apparent addiction to Habbo?.. maybe it's just me lol.
Sorry but the HC badge in real life made me lol :P
At the end of the day though in all seriousness I'm not going to talk to her any differently than I talk to any of my mature friends on here and on Habbo. She's only a person like they are after all, just because she's staff I'm not going to treat her any differently :P

Some people were asking serious questions but she wasn't answering them..
She said she was there to have fun/for a casual chat, so I doubt she wanted to be questioned too much about her job and other relevant things :)
overall it was good even if some people were rude to her.
I agree. The idea was to start bonding.. It's great to know about her job an all, but I'm sure part of this was generally to have fun, and answering pointless funny questions is all part of that. It lets us see the other side of Habbo staff, shows us that they have a sense of humor, and that is what we like to see. We like to know that Habbo staff can have fun too and just chill out and not be so serious. If she didn't want to answer any questions then she would have simply ignored them. We got to know her better as well, which is a plus side, know a bit about her personal life etc.. I'm fairly sure she doesn't want to sit there for an hour talking about what her job en-tales with Sulake.
I unfortunately was unable to attend though :( I'm sure it was pretty awesome though!
Aw I got a badge cos she answered me question :D I was suprised my question got chosen actually lol. I sat and read all the questions though :)

I feel it was a bit of fun those questions, as Oli asked the first one quoted I don't see anything wrong with a harmless bit of fun!
However some question she did refuse/couldn't answer and I respect her for that, but at the end of the day I think it's better to have a fun hour with a staff member rather than a boring one where questions get repeated!
Some questions were worse than that, I believe I said one on MSN to you Msthew, but the severley inappropriste questions resulted in the perpatrators being banned!
A nice hour regarless.
Also the random facts she put herself witout being questioned about it so I feel that she made it light-hearted!

My inbox is open to any messages, comments or complaits regarding any of the news articles on Habbox.com. 0rca seemed happy enough to answer these questions and she provided the answers so I dont see anything majorly wrong, but as I said do feel free to pm me and we can speak about this further :)

lol I don't have a problem with the news article, I don't usually read them anyway .. I'm merely starting a debate about how we should treat Sulake employees who visit the site.

I think treating such events with too much formality will stop Habbo staff from coming again. It was made quite clear to fansites that visits were to be fun and informal, Staff simply will not visit us on an "official" note as to be frank, regulations would stop them from saying much (such as 0rca could not mention the Help tool saga).
0rca approached this in a very clever manner with her responses to the questions on HabboxForum, I spent 10 minutes in the help desk whilst she was there and found that she was quite literally there for a laugh, she said she wouldn't answer "serious" questions and frequently ignored them in fact, she seemed to prefer to answer the questions which were a little bit more fun, which led me to ask her what her sister would make of the comments she had made on HxF :P - I think it's important to remember that Habbo staff are nothing but human and I think 0rca is perhaps the best example of this, those that asked inappropriate questions/took it too far were dealt with by 0rca (she told me I needn't moderate the questions she'd do it herself) and I'm aware she did use her powers to remove people asking inappropriate questions.
I think 0rca made a very brave step coming out like she did today "I played Habbo before I started working here", admitting that she was a Hobba and then a MOD but had to change her name - this is usually information you wouldn't expect to be revealed. She also revealed she started playing Habbo as an adult and as an older member of the Habbo community this is really interesting as I was beginning to think Habbo were against us oldies being on.
For me personally 0rcas visit to the forum and help desk gave me a better insight in to the humanity of sulake staff (at least 0rca anyway) and in the past (perhaps not so much her visit last week) Redtiz has also been quite informal, althought his has been on informal visits to HxHD.
There are always going to be limits pushed to see how far the Habbo staff will go to replying, 0rca was the one who chose to reply to any questions personal or not (I think she made quite witty responses to the personal questions) and anybody who did ask inappropraite questions she could deal with.
I think it would be an error to tip-toe around Sulake staff especially in this day and age, however I think 0rca has tremendous respect for fansites and after dealing with her via email quite a bit whilst I've been in this position, I can say that she's nothing but a pleasure to work with and so much more human than other staff.
Note she also revealed that her mother used to work for Sulake, she's made some very bold steps and I for one, am impressed and look forward to future visits.
Hey guys, Just so you know, I didn't mind the majority of the questions that were put to me. As already stated I went to the room for some fun. I'd already answered the majority of the serious questions in the forum, so my visit was purely to have a chat with you all. I am VERY thick skinned and understand that a lot of you are younger than myself and some questions might pop up that I'd not really like to answer, and if i don't want to answer them I simply won't. I have to admit some were very rude, but like its been said, I have my super powers to look after myself and I did. I have been with Sulake for 7 years now, and I have learned to take things with a pinch of salt and not take too much offense. No I'm not going to answer questions about my female anatomy, but questions that I can tell are very light hearted really don't worry me. I very much enjoyed my visit, I was laughing practically for the most part of my time there. I have a very witty sense of humor, so I get where some of the questions were coming from. At the end of the day, my visit was for you to get to know me and hopefully you managed to learn something new. I look forward to coming back again another day.
haha good job just scare them off.
Seriously, people who do this should be fired, end of.
Great news report. I definately wouldn't say they're innapropriate questions as some people have sugggested - Just unusual and quite funny!

The main culprits were people who aren't usually associated with Habbox so you can't really fire the people. However, Josh, I do agree with you!

Well you can't really censor what questions are asked on Habbo and Orca seemed to take it in good spirit. A lot of those questions would not even seen the light of day on the forum, though. :P
