Best place to gain Mining levels.

Looking to get my mining up to 50 so I can start Hero's Quest. - Looked around various guides and such but don't really get any straight simple answers so I just wanted to ask where you would say the best place to gain 9 levels to 50 Mining would be.

Iron is always good xp but if you don't like that you could always try granite in the desert, this can be 1 of the best xp per hour places that you can get at mid level.

yeah iron or granite are the best things. I did iron upto 63 at rimmington. Might take a while to find a good world though cos the bots love abit of mining

I did coal at Coal Carts like North-West of seers village :)

I done shooting stars, good xp, only get the reward once daily tho - but you can still get the xp

If you're looking for fast exp then powermining iron would be best. The best places are at the rocks south of Piscatoris or west of the Legends Guild since there's three rocks packed together, meaning you don't have to move your character. I think you can get around 30-35k exp/hour based on your level.

If you're looking for cash, then mining iron is still pretty good cash - you just need to bank the ores. The best places to mine iron if you're going to bank is probably the mine north east of Yanille, or west of Falador if you can use the agility short-cut.
Alternatively, mining coal at the coal rocks can be good cash but I'd recommend sticking to iron, both for exp and cash.
